9-2 run, so far.
-
11:44 to go. Huskers down 2. 15-13. We need a 14-4 Husker run.

Brice is off to a great start.

I asked Seth if he was gonna watch this game tonight as I was taking him to the hospital in Osceola, waiting to get transferred to the Buffet Cancer Center. He said probably not. I asked him about watching Selection Sunday. Probably not. How about filling out the brackets since the Huskers are in? Heck yes! I love that kid! Huskers win tonight!
-
I expect Indiana to come out hot tonight. Let's see how the Huskers respond.
-
Kent just said projected start time for the Husker game is 8:17. IYKYK.
-
No overtime games tomorrow. Nebraska tips off at 8:45 at the latest.

March is a huge month for the Huskers. This March has been building for at least 38 years. Our program has had it in them for all these years. 2024, it manifests! GBR!
Oz never did give nothing to the Tin Man, that he didn't, didn't already have.

I’m gonna be a little contrary on that…others can correct if I’m wrong. You are correct pre season Moe and the squad got caught practicing early. Anyhow, went onto have a pretty good season and then Hoppen got hurt out at Colorado with 6-10 games to go. The guys regrouped and earned that NCAA bid. Some of the guys on that team would have been-> Carr, Harvey Marshall, Ronnie Smith, Claude Renfro, Bill Jackman, John Matzke, Anthony Bailous ? Need help again, anyone ? Too lazy to look it up and that’s not as fun.
I'm not sure we want to take a walk down memory lane. Moe Iba put Bill Jackman in the fetal position offensively. Danny helped him recover the next year. Of course, if Hoppen doesn't get hurt, we probably win a tournament game. None of that matters now. We win games in the tournament this year!

The party won't happen. I doubt Trev is on board with this. I could be wrong....
-
The statue erected after this season will be similar to the team photo in the movie Hoosiers. Won't look like the photo, but the entire team will be a part of it.

I think people have forgotten we have the oldest roster in the B!G. This mature team could care less about individual accolades. Perfect storm!

Good recollection you have, cip. Always enjoy reading up on these things when you post 'em.
You'll love this story, then. It had to be 1973, maybe 74. I spent an afternoon or two each week at the Aurora swimming pool. They played "Go All The Way" over the loud speaker at least 3 times a day. The manager/head lifeguard had big boobs. I still remember her name. Gotta remember, this comes from a 12-13 year old perspective.

When I heard the news about Eric Carmen passing this morning, I was bummed. I bought The Raspberries two albums. The first, the Scratch and Sniff album, had a sticker on it, when scratched, it smelled like raspberries. Last time I scratched it, 25 years ago, it stilled smelled of raspberries. Go All The Way was on that album, but their follow up was pretty good as well. He had a pretty good solo career also. RIP!

After our win against Purdue, we got a little too high, and laid an egg at Iowa and Rutgers. After the Wisconsin win, we stayed even keel went on the road, and took Illinois to OT.
Yes and no. I agree about the Iowa game, but if Gary doesn't get hurt, we beat Rutgers.

I just bought some at noon on axs.com
They were all already resale, so I got robbed. I just got the best availabke tickets for the cheapest price. Upper bowl were $90+ too
$116 per ticket, but I got 5 in a row in the lower bowl in the corner.
Edit: I probably should mention I also paid $136 extra for the stupid fees
You'll have fun, regardless. I'm thinking it was the Big 8 Tournament in 1982 at Kemper Arena. Three of us went down the night before and stayed at some hotel. We're in the bar having a cocktail, and in walks Dick Vitale. My friend from New Jersey, yells out, "Dick! Come over here." We bought him 2 drinks and he didn't know squat about Nebraska basketball. Later that evening, in the restroom, there were some K State fans who were talking that basically said can you imagine how good Nebraska will be next year when they get Hoppen? Of course, we lost a low scoring game to Kansas State, but had no problem getting rid of our tickets for the next games.
I think our tickets were 20 bucks each and no fees.

It would be sweet if we could actually be rated in the top 25 now. At least the top 30.
#35 in the AP. It absolutely doesn't matter. Actually, I'm happy they are where they are.

I think I mentioned this on Normy's poll, I'd rather win a Big Ten tournament title over anything. That's a trophy. Winning one game in the Big Dance, basically, that's only a little monkey off their backs. Unless it's a deep, deep run in March Madness, I'd rather take the B1G hardware, tbh.
We already have one of those. Does Northwestern have a B!G Tourney Championship trophy? Don't know, don't care. They do have an NCAA Tourney victory, which we will get in the next week and a half.

Okay, Indiana cuts the lead to 7 with under 5 to go. Let's get the lead to 10 at half.
