No examination of music acts from Maryland would be complete without Divine:
I sat next to Divine's mother at the 1988 premiere of John Waters' orignal "Hairspray" at the Miami Film Festival. Divine (dressed as a man that night) was on stage with Waters, Rikki Lake and a few others after the film, and Divine introduced her. I hadn't known who the little old lady was until she stood up upon Divine's introduction of her.

Upvote for posting a video from one of my Mount Rushmore concert films, such a fantastic show. Stop Making Sense was re-released on IMAX last fall and I went out to see it on opening night, what an amazing experience! So with that said, here is a song from one of my other Mount Rushmore concert films:
If you're into great parodies, check out "Final Transmission" from the first season of "Documentary Now" on Netflix. Great send-up of "Stop Making Sense."

If you were to create characters for an updated "White Shadow" streaming series, these are the guys you want on the team.
Great cast.

Peacock uses the exact same people that NBC would use. So far my only complaint is that they aren't streaming Quincy (yeah I'm that old). I'll probably dump the app after the NCAA and pick it up again in the fall depending on if the Huskers have any games.
Watch "Poker Face" before you dump it.

Oh, and freaking awesome to beat these guys! This was starting to have the feeling of a typical northwestern game where we let it slip away.
Thank dog we weren't 8-of-30 from the line.

Evanston native Eddie Vedder with Louisville's My Morning Jacket covering Brits Pete Townshend and The Who. Classic.
Trigger Warning: Eddie kills two tambourines, right there on stage.

I really, really hate late tip-offs. Tonight's is extremely frustrating. Been snowed in all day, scooped fricking snow, we've had over 16 inches this week, and we're still over 3 hours till radio pregame show. But I have a really good feeling about the game. The sun finally came out in the last few minutes. GBR!
9:30 p.m. ET tip. I'll be lucky to make the first media TO.

I'm thinking of UC-Riverside, Southern Utah, and North Dakota. What a journey to get to this point.

Other than U of I athletes and coaches, Iris Dement was the biggest celebrity in town when I lived in Iowa City. The Weepies are still a great Iowa City band. On Edit: I just learned the Weepies broke up right after I left IC.
