The addendum is that we don't finish in the top four unless we're predicted to be in bottom four, and when we're (rarely) predicted anywhere but the bottom four, we finish in the bottom four. Here's to a predicted 18th-place finish next year!

Having worked at KU for four years, I have many friends there, and I used to root for KU in March. I'm just nothing but envious at this point, at KU having secured Bill Self. Hopefully my jealousy can wane in the next year or two.

And that's where we are in this rebuild. In Fred's first three years, we had a smidgen of inexperienced basketball talent and low- to mid-level athleticism. Last year and this, we added experience and basketball talent. For next year, we need to add more athleticism without sacrificing basketball IQ and experience. That's a tough needle to thread at a place like Nebraska.

They won't score 58 all game against Houston. Book it.
