And while I might not agree with it, Fred Hoiberg is the coach of the basketball team I cheer for and I am going to pull for this team to succeed as fervently as I have for any 4th year coach in the history of the program. I want this to succeed. At this point, Fred is my coach and I'm going to be behind him until we see what things look like next season. And I will hope that I can continue to be behind him even then. I hope he succeeds. I really, really do.

On the one hand *pardon the pun, this looks like a phenomenal hire. He seems like all the players in Chicago raved about him and liked him and he seems like he is excellent at player development.
 
At the same time, I'm not sure how I feel about Doc not being an active coach on the bench. Our defense was really coming along despite the lack of practice time last season.
 

Yeah, honestly next year the only reason breidenbach will be playing center is if Andre and walker are hurt or in foul trouble, watching his film his skill set is not that of a center but definitely more of a stretch 4.  IMO

This goes a little way towards forgiving Xavier for '91.  A little.

CJ Wilcher is a class of 2019 shooting guard out of Newark, NJ.  Clocking in at 6'5", the sophomore to be was rated in the top 150 coming out of high school and regarded as an elite shooter.  Wilcher saw limited playing time this season until senior SG Nate Johnson went down with an injury. It's probable that Johnson's decision to come back for another year led to Wilcher looking elsewhere for playing time.  Matt Abdelmassih had originally offered Wilcher at both St John's and Nebraska.
 
At this moment Wilcher would have to redshirt unless granted a waiver. However, he might be immediately eligible if the NCAA puts a one-time transfer exception rule into place.  Wilcher will have 4 years of eligibility left.
