Thunder trading Al Horford to Boston for Kemba Walker. Some draft picks also involved. And Moses Brown. You'd have to think Isaiah features prominently in the Thunder's future plans if they're trading Horford and Brown for a guard and a draft pick.

  4. I think Weidner could be one of the Freshman to make an impact. Yes she can score but she also knows how to get you the ball. Seen some of that in HS and I think she could be a big part of a second group for us. One thing having a full roster is even if both Brady and Dillard or even Cayton can't play we still have plenty of bodies.

  9. Or, you might consider this: Every Virginia player since 2014, under Coach Bennett, who was a full time starter in the backcourt/wing for a year or more, has earned a spot on an NBA roster when they left. For London Perrantes, it was barely long enough to get a cup of coffee, but, coming out of high school, I don't think anyone thought he'd be an NBA player.

Look...if some Razorback fan come across this for any reason... You had a great team. Your pitcher, Kopps, is a beast. We had a decent shot of our own versus the #1 team in the country but Kopps shuts us down and embarrassed us. Great on you. Better team won the series. But your fans are garbage. Stay out of Omaha.

Freshman guard Kendall Coley previously joined the team in January and appeared in 12 games last season. Williams said each of the freshmen added something to the team. “Both Kendalls found themselves matched up against each other some and they were taking each other to the perimeter and posting each other up a little bit,” Williams said. “(Weidner) made some fantastic passes.” AND Markowski, t

    Banton in flux

Here are a couple blurbs on Delano Banton from the links above. 1. This is from an article titled, "NBA combine invitations suggest who could be heading back to the NCAA": "Nebraska's Dalano Banton, recently described by SI.com's Jeremy Woo as one of the most underrated players in this class, was one of the last players to announce he was declaring early entry for the NBA draft. That made it hard for him to get enough votes to earn a trip to the combine." 2. This is from an article titled, "The Biggest NBA Draft Sleepers, Five underappreciated prospects to watch

  23. I look at CJ as having some of the same skills as Teddy Allen without some of the baggage. I think they're very similar in terms of size, skillset, athleticism (or lack thereof -- both a little less explosive than other high majors), and craftiness with scoring the ball. The big difference, from what I can see, is that CJ fits our system better from a team-player perspective. He might not have explosive footspeed, but he has a lightning-quick release and ample accuracy. He doesn't seem like a guy who demands the ball in his hands like Teddy did, not the one who insists

  30. People don't seem to understand just how unremarkably mediocre Nebrasketball has been since forever. Never really great, but then again, never really horrible either. Just always hovering somewhere right above the .500 mark. Fred has presided over a couple of the worst seasons ever in the Cip to Hoiberg eras. Hopefully he can bring us some of our best seasons ever as well.

  31. If we haven't seen our last losing season around here for awhile we're in a LOT more trouble than any of us envisioned. We fired a guy after he wins 19 & replace him with a guy that loses back-to-back 20. The reasons for that have already been debated & discussed ad nauseum, but it's still stark & jarring. The talent Fred's assembling is off the charts, now it's time to make that 13 to 4 type jump in the B1G standings, soon...!

    2022 F Isaac Traudt GI

I imagine that that might be a significant factor should Isaac Traudt pick Virginia, but I also believe it will be due to the bigger picture. Aside from Coach Bennett's principles and faith, there is also his winning record of 295-103 overall at UVa (.741). However, since 2014 (the first year the roster was entirely recruited by Coach Bennett and his staff), the record is 219-50 (.814), and Virginia has finished outright first in the ACC four times and tied for first (with UNC) once. During that time, UVa has not finished behind Duke once in the conference standings. They tied twice. Virg

  33. This site has us playing in a 4-team MTE in Lincoln: https://www.bloggingthebracket.com/2021/2/17/22287581/2021-22-mens-college-basketball-exempt-multi-team-events-mte-thanksgiving-early-season-tournaments Nebraska MTE TBA: Lincoln, Neb. Nebraska (Big Ten) South Dakota (Summit) Southern (SWAC) Tennessee State (OVC) So I think that means we can schedule 29 games plus 2 in the MTE (31 total) under the rules that were supposed to go into effect in 2020-21 before they changed them for Covid. I assume those rules will go back into place for 2021-22.

    NEXT SEASON.......

So says the crystal ball We will very much be a team that can go any direction...most likely up... but just how far will take quite a while to play out. We'll be a huge team number wise. And more talented maybe, than we've been in Amy's time at the helm. No need to get into who starts, what positions, etc etc now. Don't see how we can do the musical chairs thing with 15 or 16 ....a lot of sorting out....a lot of sorting out to do. About half of the team are newbies. I wish we could play 10 preseason games and see who can do what. As is said ever

  38. Granted I have only seen Wilcher in highlights but I am not sure him and Teddy are all that similar other than lack of foot speed. I would describe Teddy as an unorthodox, streaky YMCA style volume scorer that just gets the ball in the hoop. Wilcher seems very much like a pure shooter to me, an old school catch-and-shoot SG. We shall see. I know I am really excited to see him play in a live game.

It dates you a bit to say you attended a Husker football game where Gordon MacRae sang the Anthem. He died in 1986, so if you're younger than about 40, you missed your chance. I looked it up today. He died of cancer at Bryan hospital and is buried at Wyuka Cemetery. He was only 64 years old at the time. He would have turned 100 this year. I didn't realize at the time how cool it was that he was a Lincolnite. Man, what a set of pipes.
