We can complain about on the court things, but the kids that stay or come and stay graduate. This team has some guys who are getting really good educations with a BA and Masters getting paid for. Also we don’t hear of them causing any problems off the court either. Two positives out all the on court stuff.

Assuming everybody stays until their eligibility is used up we would only lose Sam H. after next season. We have Logan Nissley coming in so maybe coach will want to save one scholarship for another 2023 recruit.

He mainly played the off guard. He did bring the ball up the court on occasion but his role was mainly a shooting guard. He has a nice stroke but certainly needs to put on some weight. Kinda of like once Bryce put on some muscle, he was able to compete at a higher lever.

Yes, so with Mendelson, we're at 14. So one more could be taken. Popa is kind of the wild card so to speak. Simply haven't seen her play enough to know what we might expect. If she holds her own inside...will fill in a lot to the overall picture. Mendelson just might be the key. Don't want to get the expectations to high, but she may be the real deal we've needed. But our bench will be strong and deep next season. Maybe one the strongest we've had in years. Guard heavy for sure. This is going to be good.

Can someone explain how the Big 12 and Big 10 champs are in the same regional. Ridiculous.

Unfortunately-- we got a realllllly tough draw. Man. OSU just took down Oklahoma.

I'm sure that if coach Williams feels we still have a need for bench help at forward she would go after someone. She knows what to expect out of A. Stewart and K. Coley and Mendelson has a big upside. The one sleeper we haven't seen is T. Popa. I have to believe that if she hasn't improved to where she could help she would have been in the portal as well. Hopefully will hear more when summer practice starts soon. I sure hope we can finally have enough of the right kind of players to add a good full court press. Next step up the ladder here we come!

Yes, delayed congratulations to Rhonda Revelle and the NU softball team!! Their hard work and talent paid off yesterday and I enjoyed it. Well deserved! GBR!!

Saw this elsewhere and thought it might be worth repeating.

Hard to say, but I’d cautiously lean Frost. He can make all the changes he wants, and he spent the loot to do it, but something is going to have to change to make them believe they can finish a game. If they lose the NW, the wheels will fall off. Win it, and who knows, but that game is enormous. I think the football team gets six wins. It’s incredible how many days of practice they have missed out on due to not making a bowl the last several years. That’s a couple of camps worth of development. I’m guessing Frost gets the bowl game and the extra reps help get the program back to something more Pelini esque. Hoiberg needs one more guard to transfer here. However, we’ll have tremendous size to roll out next season and likely a more coachable team who should significantly improve on defense and rebounding. Offense couldn’t really get any worse than it was this past season. If I had my way right now, this is my starting lineup: Griesel Lloyd (I’m very high on this kid) Gary Keita Walker We might be able to create some bully ball problems with this bunch. At this point, I don’t even care if we are offensively challenged. We might be able to build a defensive/rebounding juggernaut. A lot depends on whether or not Keita can actually space the floor like Fred claims. If not, Gary will likely start at the 4 and we’ll have a major logjam at the 5 because I don’t think Wilhelm can play the 4 defensively. I’m neutral on the b-ball roster right now, but I am definitely curious. If we get an experienced, scoring wing, I think Fred will make the bigger jump. But that will be hard to quantify in terms of wins because, top to bottom, I think the conference has a way better group of basketball talent and coaching. It’s just a tough ass league.
