  2. Choice of seats were plentiful last time, and that was with a big football game the next day, Hoiberg’s first season, Rick Ross, and Maria Taylor…highly doubt the lower bowl will be even 3/4 full…

  3. It was 3 points that we desperately needed. It probably wasn’t a “must win” but we would have been in a very bad position had we lost. It seems like we finally found some Mojo that 2nd half. We were more aggressive. Moving forward... 1. Has Sergent lost his starting spot? At least for now? I just don’t know. He has some really heavy touches for a striker. 2. Weston has got to get it together. He is vital part of this team. He’s got to figure it out. 3. Is Pulisic ok? Did hear after the game, but he looked really uncomfortable and one of his worst qualities as a player is his durability. 4. The young guns are pushing for starting spots. Pepi, Robinson, Robinson, Brenden. 5. John Brooks looked terrible this window. Slow, missing tackles, etc. 6. Next window has to end with at least 6 points. That’s the bare minimum. Jamaica and Costa Rica at home have to be wins against the bottom of the group. Steal a point at Panama and we are sitting pretty.

  8. No inside info here, but from everything I've read and heard Verge will be the primary ball handler, so I can't see him not being in the starting line up. I agree with others that the starters will more than likely be: Verge McGowens McGowens Mayen Walker Others that I see getting significant playing time are: Webster Wilcher Edwards Breidenbach Andre I think Tominaga will have a role this season, but not sure how many minutes he will get. I know that most think Fred will whittle down the rotation as the season goes along and that may be the case, but it's hard for me to see who doesn't see the floor if the newcomers mentioned above live up to the hype.

  9. Very weak schedule for Rutgers, Depaul will likely be better than last year but theres so many really bad teams on it.

Wow! After all the progress this off-season, we're already talking Fred on the hot seat--without even seeing how the team performs this year?! Seems so . . . hmmm . . . let's just go with the word "bad."

This is what really excites me. I think that's exactly what's gonna happen. I'm giddy . We'll see what the ceiling is. But this is fun.

I remember being really excited about Ade because he had an offer from Penn State. Seriously. Same with Toney McCray and Sek Henry because they had some power 5 offers. We were so used to beating out the likes of Weber State and Old Dominion for recruits in the days of Collier and Doc. We still played some dang good ball in those years though, enjoyable to watch and were almost always competitive. Underappreciated coaches, IMO. Collier teams finished 6th, 7th (twice), 8th and 9th in the conference. Doc finished 7th (three times) and 8th. Some people will blindly claim the Big Ten has been a much better conference than the Big 12 was back then, but I'm not buying it. Those were the days of players like Durant, Aldridge, Beasley, Griffin, Hinrich, Collison, Gooden and tons of other All-Americans. Also coaches like Eddie Sutton, Roy Williams, Bill Self, Bobby Knight, Quinn Snyder, Larry Eustachy, Rick Barnes, Kelvin Sampson, etc. Fred's a great basketball mind and he now has the talent that we maybe haven't had since Danny Nee. You're right, time to coach 'em up.

  13. I like it, but there’s no chance Walker isn’t starting game 1.

  14. My dark horse is still Tominaga. I think he's going to have heat checks given to him every night, and I would be shocked if there aren't a couple of games he takes over on the offensive end. With Bryce, Trey, and Zo being able to get to the paint on just about anyone, I think Keisei and Lat are going to be deadly, especially if they're on the court at the same time. Trey, Bryce, Keisei, Lat, and Walker in a 4 out is pretty formidable offensively. I could see CJ filling that Keisei role as well, but if Keisei is at all open... that sucker is probably going in.
