Unoffically visited Lincoln back in June. 6'4 Shooting Guard. 4 Star recruits and #76 player in the Class of 2023 per Rivals. Top 2023 player in the state of Oklahoma. Plenty of Nebraska ties here. Could be a big time offer. Now he gets his own thread to go along with it.4 points -

I understand that everyone would rather do it with 'Home-Grown' kids. But Fred Hoiberg is not letting the fact they're opting to go out-of-state faze him in the least. He has assembled what is probably one of the most talented teams most of us have ever seen and is recruiting more top talent than ever before.3 points -

Treat him as not being a lock and being a priority recruit. They have an advantage but they certainly cannot take it for granted.2 points -
I think he is ignoring pretty much every call. He was 3 - 9, 8 - 5, 8 -5, 7 - 6, and started with a loss to Louisiana. He is most popular coach in the country. You know who also had seasons like that? Mike Riley Don't get me wrong. He is definitely ahead of Frost on my list, but his results would meet my minimum expectations for Nebraska. I think we need to be in contention for West division titles every year.2 points

2022 F Isaac Traudt - Virginia->Creighton
HuscurAdam and one other reacted to Swan88 for a topic
Forget the grapes. The good thing about Traudt's commitment is that everyone, including the coaching staff, can move on to other prospects with 100% intensity--and other great prospects are aplenty. Imagine the difference if Traudt had followed-through on his prior suggestion of waiting until Spring to commit.2 points -

We seem to be in good standing with that gus yaldon kid as well, depending on who we take this year we would definitely take those 4 I think. It will be interesting to see who we go for in 2022 now that Traudt is off the market. Do we carry a scholly over for 2023 or do we go for green, brown and Kohler for 2022? We also seem to be one of the front runners for Isaiah west a 4 star combo guard out of Tennessee for 2023. I suppose it all depends on who stays, leaves and where we need to go plug holes, but there seems to be plenty of high quality names out there that are giving us the time of day.1 point -

Interesting... Simeon turned 17 in January (halfway through his sophomore year). Will turn 18 as a junior and would be 19.5 by the time he graduated high school. Another reason for me to hold out hope that he's the mystery "re-classifier". Official visit is set to Lincoln in October.1 point -

Our defense was good enough to win. Their points: 2 came on a bonehead special teams play resulting in a safety. 7 came on a 40-yard scoop-and-score near the end of the first half with time running out. 7 came on a drive that should have ended with an interception. 7 were absolutely earned by an improbable, near-perfect, deep pass from their backup QB on a play that was very well defended. And another 7 were earned on a sustained drive where they moved the ball on the ground. That's 14 points that they truly earned. We ought to be able to win most games when we hold an opponent to 14 points. Or even 21. The problems were our offense and special teams. Hard to believe that our special teams were worse than our offense, but that case could be made. At least a 4 point advantage to Illinois on our special teams miscues -- the safety and two missed PATs. Our punter averaged <35 yards on 5 punts. Theirs was >45 yards on six punts. That's >50 yards in field position over the course of the game. And then we can't run an offense. Tim Miles once said "either you do it or you don't know or you don't care." In the case of our offense, either we're inept at recruiting, inept at teaching, or we just have a bad scheme. Because, for whatever reason, it's just not working. And hasn't since Adrian's freshman campaign. I feel like Frost has to find six wins to keep his job. Four straight losing seasons can't be excused. Not something to be tolerated at this place. Six wins might not save his job, but fewer than 6 has to be the death knell or they just don't care. And finding six wins with this schedule just got tougher. Illinois was winnable. And we pissed it away.1 point -
No we won't. It's going to take a hell of a lot more than the basketball team can muster in one year to overtake the volleyball team.1 point

Was thinking the same thing about Wahoo. I don’t blame him, but think of how much of a legend a Nebraska kid leading Husker Hoops to glory would be. Too bad! The ones, who are here now before we break through, will always be the players I respect the most.1 point -
