  2. 京成がネブラスカでプレーするのが待ちきれません。 ビッグレッドに! Seriously, I'd never seen him miss a shot before. Dang. I can't wait to see him battle 31-year-old Jordan Bohannon.

  3. Anyone ever watch Shang Ping’s film? I just remember in a summer league game him not backing down to Joe Dabbert from the Creighton squad amd giving him a shove and I instantly wrote him in my will....

    2021 Transfer SZN

Hall is a tall player with elite vision. We're like someone who just ate a lot of Thanksgiving dinner and here comes mom with the pumpkin pie.

  5. OMG please. He's Banton with weight and a jump shot. Initiates the offense a LOT.

  6. I wonder if Danny Manning ever thought that he'd better be nice to that little walk-on, since he might be working for him some day. Regarding father/son deals here, Danny Nee hired Arden Reid as director of basketball operations his first year (and then fired him a few years later).

  12. I hope the student section has someone working on placards in Japanese to hold up at games. They should be quite decorative.

  13. My understanding is that it isn’t actually against the rules. It looks a little weird, maybe, but I’m ok with that.

  15. If that's what's being referenced, it'd would be a pretty stupid comparison by whomever is making it (not you, obviously) because Jamel White was ALREADY ON THE TEAM when we hired his uncle. The only reason Barry hired Jamel's uncle was because nobody else would come work for him. All the credible candidates had turned him down. They all figured he'd be fired as soon as Steve Pederson had a chance and nobody wanted to go down with that sinking ship. Except a completely not-qualified guy who wasn't otherwise busy at the time. And who just happened to have a nephew on the team. Less than 4 months later, Collier quit and his staff went with him. There was no quid pro Miller involved in that situation. So, the situations are not even remotely comparable

    Coaching Carousel 2021

Since we are on the topic of relatives-hired-to-recruit players, one of the greatest examples, Danny Manning was just hired as an assistant to Mark Turgeon.

Well, I guess that qualifies as a good job for a family member. Since he signed, I'm guessing the six-figure check must have cleared too. Good to see things back to normal at the plantation.

  18. They hired the uncle of their top 100 recruit who was verbally committed but had not signed his LOI. He's now signed. I'm sure that was just a coincidence.

  19. Things I think I know..... - I think I know Trey, Bryce and Derrick will be in the starting lineup. - Eduardo and Derrick will split minutes at the 5. - I have a hunch we will see a version of a death lineup at times. We have 3 guys who are 6'9" and versatile (Dalano, Lat, Wilhelm). They can even all be on the court at the same time. - I think I know CJ will be a valuable component to this team, whether he's in the starting lineup or coming off the bench. He fits the mold of a Hoiberg shooting guard. Kind of a mirror image of Abdel Nader, Naz Long, Matt Thomas, Chris Babb. Good size, strong, smart off-ball guards who you hate to play against because they always seem to get open and knock down shots. None of these guys put up crazy numbers or were all-conference under Hoiberg, but they've all seen time in the NBA. - I think I know Lat, Dalano and Kobe will all have a role in the rotation (at least to start the year). The teams that have guys who have played together for multiple years are now the teams that are winning in college basketball. Hoiberg wanted these guys to come back for a reason. Things I don't know..... - Just how good are Wilhelm Breidenbach and Keon Edwards? Their highlights are intriguing, to say the least. We needed talent upgrades and it appears we got them. We haven't had many guys in the history of Husker basketball as highly recruited/rated as these two. That's crazy. Are they ready to contribute immediately? - I know Keisei can shoot it. But Trevor Lakes shot it just as well at the Division II level. Can he hold up physically in the Big Ten? He looks quick enough relative to JUCO guards. But Jervay looked like an absolute man amongst boys athletically relative to JUCO guards. So, I don't know... - Will Dalano and Trey cut down on turnovers and improve decision making? No matter how much talent we have, this will be crucial to our team success, as it appears these two will be doing much of the ball handling and decision making again next year. - Will Lat and Kobe shoot the ball more consistently throughout the year? If not, unlike like last year, there are other guys who can steal their minutes.
