His top 8 remains the same and he’s committing in June. Really like his game. FWIW his dad just followed Matt Abdelmassih on Twitter. https://stockrisers.com/s/300/the-latest-on-top-60-junior-ramel-lloyd-jr4 points -

Our last 20 games are against teams with winning B1G record currently. And our last 7 against teams you could consider the 3 other best teams in the conf. Hope we rack up a lotta dubs before those last 7, because those will all be regional level talented teams, all jockeying for an NCAA birth/seeding.3 points -
Kurt Joseph added as Director of Men's Basketball Strength & Conditioning
Nebrasketballer and one other reacted to hhcmatt for a topic
Nebraska men's basketball coach Fred Hoiberg announced Monday (April 12) the hiring of Kurt Joseph as Director of Men's Basketball Strength & Conditioning, replacing long time S&C coach Tim Wilson. Joseph comes to Lincoln after spending the last two-plus seasons as an assistant strength coach with the Minnesota Timberwolves. In that role, he assisted with the development and implementation of the strength and conditioning program for the NBA franchise. "We are pleased to add Kurt to our staff," Hoiberg said. "He comes highly recommended from the Timberwolves, and his experience in the NBA and in the G League will be an asset for our players to understand what it takes to compete at the highest level." Before joining the Timberwolves, Joseph was the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach of the Iowa Wolves, Minnesota's NBA G League affiliate. In that role, he developed and implemented strength & conditioning program. He also facilitated and served as aid during practice and assisted the athletic trainer with all post workout and postgame recovery intervention. Joseph also worked as a weight room assistant with the New York Knicks, where his duties consisted of aiding in team practice, implementing the strength and conditioning program, implementing all prehab and corrective exercise protocols as directed. He also worked as a strength coach intern for the Brooklyn Nets in 2012. Wilson had been the strength coach for the last 10 years, starting at the end of the Doc Sadler era. 2021-2022 expectations
Norm Peterson and one other reacted to Donkey for a topic
There is no particular, specific need for the remaining scholarships. Best guess would be a taller Wilcher who would be a matchup nightmare at the 3 and could play the 4 if necessary. I think that is why Keon Edwards met with the staff recently. I was told all of the remaining scholarships had to go to guys who could contribute on day 1. Then, Kojenets committed with the understanding he would redshirt. Kojenets (Mayen) and Bieta (Walker) could fill specific roles in 2022-2023 with Kojenets having the ability to grow into a (Mayen/Walker) role later on. Banton is a good kid but has now had 2 years in the program and had one year to sit out and work on his game. He played under a very good coach in Rick Stansburry at WKU. If Banton has not developed his perimeter shot by now, when? Anything is possible, but his time is running out.2 points -

So, what do we need to finish out the roster? Also, the statement "Banton does not fit that role with Walker or Andre" is true only if Banton doesn't develop a jumper. It's not beyond the realm of possibility that Banton gets his shot grooved in the off-season. He does things Lat does not. So, if he can develop a perimeter jumper, which he could, then he could be that stretch 4. Mayen needs to look over his shoulder at a couple of players.2 points -

LSU You'll note that LSU wasn't in his top 4 and they employ a coach on tape about a "strong-ass offer" when trying to buy a guy in 20172 points -

From what I have been told, Walker is not a lock at the 5 as the staff loves what Andre can do. The idea of Banton at the 4 is not unthinkable; however, the staff wants a stretch 4 on the court to open the offense (hence Mayen, Briedenbach, and Kojenets). Banton does not fit that role with Walker or Andre on the court (unless one of them pulls a Brooke Lopez). Bryce and Trey will be the starters. The plan is to build the team around Bryce and Wilcher is a very good complementary piece to Bryce and Trey. There is a reason why you keep hearing about combo guards talking to the staff and not a true PG. Having guys like Bryce, Trey, Wilcher, Banton move the ball around and run the offense depending on match ups makes the offense very dangerous. Then having a guy like Tominaga come off the bench whenever Bryce, Trey, or Wilcher sit down; wow. Mayen should also be very motivated. NBA scouts have seen him at practice and were very interested. He has a lot to prove and now has a legitimate back up who could unseat him. I am a little worried about the defense if Doc leaves. I guess there is legitimate interest between Doc and UTEP.2 points -

with all the excitement about Markowski coming in (and i am included) have fans kinda pushed aside what Tatiana Popa may bring? i know i had completely forgot about her in an earlier post. i just watched video highlights of her---can shoot the 3, no doubt a big body, looked like she can be kinda scrappy-maybe a little stronger with the ball than Kate? leg work may need some attention, though. it will be interesting to see how she adjusts. i can see her causing problems around the bucket.1 point -

the only thing i have seen is the comment by coach where she stated they "believe" Porter has avoided any major surgery. the comment was made approximately a week or so after the injury. probably won't hear any more until Porter can start workouts again. how things go could be something to watch.1 point -
