For those of you that take the OWH there's an article in this mornings paper that includes Prince (freshman) and her Mom. Interesting read telling about the HS team and how young the team is, and how well they're doing for a new team. Read it quick then I had to go off line.3 points

I watched one of her games recently. She hit 8 out of 9 three pointers and had a bunch of other points as well. Taylor McCabe from Fremont is considered by many as the best outside scorer in Nebraska right now but in my mind it won't be too long before Britt Prince has that title. It would be great to see them play against each other in 4 years when McCabe is a junior at Iowa and Prince is a freshman at Nebraska.2 points

I liked the part, stating Britt started very young, by dribbling a ball on the kitchen floor. Per mom, 'that was OK in our family'.1 point

I'd vote for a couple of new defensive schemes. Not sure this crew is capable of being a great offensive team, but it can sure play better defense. Try some zones, half-court traps, anything that accounts for our physical strengths/limitations and can at least confuse the opposition.1 point -

When Trinity Brady got hurt the first time coach addressed the injury about a week later and said it was day to day. If I remember right she was still on crutches. If Issie is out as long as Trinity we will be in trouble. One Freshman reserve at guard and one Freshman reserve at forward. Good experience for them but not much relief for the starters which includes Ruby starting for the first time.1 point

Thats to be seen I guess. I felt the overall offense was much better at times when Teddy isnt being Teddy last game. When this teal shares the ball and attacks the rim they seem to be more ecfective. I think you need Teddy cause of what he can be, but when its running down the court when you have momentum going and chuck up a deep 3 with not one pass is the issue. If he can play more within the offense and not take shots that you can get anytimen he will be more effective1 point -
Saturdays' game @ Maryland is also POSTPONED

I would think they'll try to reschedule as many as possible & be creative, if needed. For example, Purdue is in Lincoln Feb 20 and has a full week off after that - maybe NU & PU play again Feb 21 or Feb 22 in Lincoln. (NU plays Illinois Feb 24.) Maryland has no games between Jan 23 and Jan 30, and NU has no games Jan 24 thru Jan 30, so somewhere in there would be the most likely makeup date. Illinois and Nebraska both have gaps in their schedules the final week of the season (between Feb 28 and Mar 6), so that'd be an ideal time for a makeup. If we end up missing the Minny game, that one might be a little tougher, but we go to Minneapolis Feb 8, so maybe we play them twice on that trip (Feb 6 or 7). Will be tricky to make up the games, but certainly not impossible, as long as they employ a bit of creativity.1 point -

I dont think Teddy is a scapegoat. Its more does he fit this system based on his style of play. I dont think anyone is doubting his talents but what he shows does not fit Freds system.1 point -

He was the catalyst in our second half run against Indiana. For about 12-15 minutes in the second half, I felt like we saw what Fred's offense was supposed to look like, and Trey was fantastic during that span. The spacing seemed to be way better, we attacked the rim, and got some really good looks. While Banton's FT misses killed us, I thought one of the biggest failures in the final 3-4 minutes was that McGowens didn't touch the ball near enough. That failure, along with the missed FT's and Teddy deciding to play hero ball, did us in.1 point -

listened to 'severe & benning' this morning. benning mentioned to the guest about the number of good girl basketball players in nebraska. the only one in the discussion (by name) was Prince. plays the game beyond her years. very mature. no doubt will be playing somewhere when done with hs.1 point -

If we pause for the Big 10 required 17 days.... then we're looking at losing 3-4 games. On the flip side... if we get our team quarantine out of the way now, and we're the only team to show up in Indy for the Big 10 tournament... does that mean we automatically represent the conference in the Dance?1 point
