The team had a hard time smiling at the end, with the Bourne injury. This team is a tight knit bunch. Fingers crossed, it isn't serious.4 points

Nebraska Cornhuskers (5-4, 3-3 Big Ten) at 23/24 Michigan State Spartans (8-1, 3-1 Big Ten) Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021, 2 p.m. (CT) Breslin Center - East Lansing, Michigan Live Video: B1G Network+ Live Radio: Husker Sports Network (1:45 p.m.) Matt Coatney (PBP), Jeff Griesch (Analyst) Lincoln (B107.3 FM), Omaha (ESPN 590 AM), Huskers.com, Huskers App, TuneIn Huskers Set for Sunday Showdown at No. 23 Spartans Nebraska completes its two-game road trip to the state of Michigan when the Huskers square off with No. 23 Michigan State on Sunday. Tip-off between Nebraska (5-4, 3-3 Big Ten) and the Spartans (8-1, 3-1 Big Ten) is set for 2 p.m. (CT) at the Breslin Center in East Lansing. A live video stream will be provided to subscribers of Big Ten Network plus. Live radio will also be available through the Husker Sports Network with Matt Coatney and Jeff Griesch calling the action across the network stations, the Huskers App and on Huskers.com. Both teams will be looking to bounce back from narrow Thursday night losses to top-15 foes. Nebraska suffered a 64-62 setback at No. 15 Michigan. The Huskers rallied from 11 points down in the fourth quarter and got a steal and a last-second half-court heave by Bella Cravens that got off in time but did not draw iron, as Nebraska was the first team this season to play Michigan (8-0, 3-0 Big Ten) within single digits. The Huskers also held the Wolverines 24 points under their season scoring average and forced season-low shooting percentages by Michigan in every category.3 points

I mean.... Indiana is 11th in the Big Ten in 3pt % and TJD is averaging 20.5 without making a 3 all season. So the strategy of clogging the lane and hoping Indiana misses doesn't seem all that bad to me. Indiana is 7/9 from 3 right now1 point -

To me it's not about McGowens running the offense as much as it is him running the break as Banton doesn't seem to either possess the speed or drive to push the ball. When we get a rebound, look for McGowens and see what happens. If nothing is happening, get the ball to Banton and run the offense.1 point -
Kudos to Sam for a double double and Bella Cravens for an all around game. All the ladies made big contributions.1 point

Scoggins has really picked up her game...is more confident and understands her roll ...showing much more confidence, and is more relaxed. Helping more and more at the guard position. Cravens just continues to improve...more offense now. These two really help take the load off Sam and Issie...and Cain for that matter1 point

I'm guessing Hoiberg has a better feel for what's going on in the inner workings of and interpersonal dynamics within his program than any of us on the outside looking in. What does "Hoiberg better start taking notice" even mean? More generally, McGowens is shooting 40.6% inside the arc and while he's shooting well from 3, he's taken twice as many 2s and isn't shooting well from the foul line either. He has 15 assists and 22 turnovers in 11 games this season. It's great that he played really well against a bad defensive team in Michigan State; hopefully that carries forward. But due to factors both in and out of his control, he's been as much a part of the offensive struggles as anyone. They need to get better across the board. I'm going to need to see more evidence before I'm on board with the idea that giving McGowens the ball to run the offense is going to fix things.1 point -

Jordy as some good qulities...he really does. I will dwell on just one major issue; he brings the ball down below his waist EVERY time. For that I place some blame on the coaches...for goodness sake, you have a freshman at Creighton that already has that figured out...okay now that is off my chest...breathe.1 point -
