Burke 12.2 ppg 3.4 rpg 1.27 apg 40.1% FG 30.4% 3 56.6% FT Kobe King 10.0 ppg 2.8 rpg 1.58 apg 45.9% FG 25.0% 3 67.3% FT Not saying he wasn't disappointing, but Kobe King had basically the same production at Wisconsin. So I hope you aren't expecting King to tear it up next year.3 points -
Seems like a LOT of players had trouble finishing at the rim, with what seemed like a veritable 'Forest' of opponents arms in the air; And No calls by the officials.2 points

I was fairly skeptical of the kid in the finishing department for a good portion of the season. But, the novel thing, the kid got better as this season waned. When a lot of guys seemed to get worse as the season wore on, Drago played better (for the most part). And, then, just now I read his tweet from after the final regular season game, and I'll tell ya, I love this dude. He knows what's up with Freddy & Co. This will be better next year, I can feel it!1 point -

Remember Nebrasketball did that after Deverell Biggs had been asked to leave. It happens. I'm fairly high on Kobe King, he'll be plenty motivated to prove he's legit. And same can probably be said for Kobe Webster, and he has only 1 year to do it; even more motivation in my eyes!1 point -

Not that it's a big selling point, but the 25 percent average from deep for King is just last season, when he took only 28 of them. He was at 31 percent the year before, and made 7 of 21 (33 percent) in a limited role as a freshman. And in 2-point attempts, he's made 52 percent in his career. That's good.1 point -

Of Wisconsin players who played in more than 10 games last season, Kobe King had the second-highest field goal percentage.1 point -

He had to lead the country in getting his shot blocked. Not sure if they keep stats on that, but I would guess he would on top of that list.1 point -

I enjoyed watching Dachon Burke. Sorry to see him go. I don't understand the bagging on Kobe King. He and Burke have different games. On shooting threes, for example, King doesn’t shoot many: out of 19 games played last season, King shot two or fewer 3s in 15 of them; Burke shoots a lot of 3s: out of 29 games played last season, Burke shot four 3s or more in 17 of them.1 point

whatever the case, he scored 18ppg at robert morris which is a very respectable program. with 2 years of training and maturing, i expected more than 12ppg and 50% FT shooting.1 point -

Yeah...I don't anyone expected 7-24. But I also don't think it's much of anything. I thought we'd be an 11-12 win team in the preseason. Then we lose Stevenson, eventually Curtis, Kavas and intermittent suspensions for Mack. I had accepted this as a rebuilding year before we ever fired Miles. It was just going to be. There wasn't a lot of talent coming back (never believed for a second that Roby was returning regardless of the coach) whoever the coach was going to be. I'm glad Hoiberg ripped the band aid off by being up front with guys like Harris (think he could've been decent role player) Heiman, Davis, etc and start getting some of his guys in rather than delaying the inevitable. At the end of the day....7 wins or 12 really don't make a lot of difference for me. Either situation it's a rebuilding/foundational year. I have no less confidence in Hoiberg now than I did 12 months ago to do something here. It may take one extra year than I was expecting....but I still fully believe he's going to get it done.1 point -

Maybe I'm missing something, but I feel like most everybody on the board agrees with the sentiment that the player are sharing about the prospects for the future. It's just disappointing how embarrassingly and history-breakingly bad of a season this turned out to be.1 point -
