  1. We lacked energy yesterday, but I fail to see how/why Green is responsible for that. Feels like people are looking for a scapegoat. I sat in the student section yesterday. I saw Green lamenting on the sideline late in the game, but it just appeared to be general frustration, which we ALL were feeling. Am I missing something?

  2. I don't understand this thought process/concern. And this isn't to single you out. At 6'9", 260lbs, 17y.o., and a freshman this is the type of big body player we have clamored for in years past. Usually with the thinking if we could get this type of player, he would be a little raw, somewhat over looked, probably off the radar and that is how we would get that kind of recruit. Young man is gonna be 20 y.o. as a junior. The amount of physical change likely to occur with this young man is pretty significant. I will bet dollars to donuts this kid at least turns into a guy that allows us to through him out against the bigs in the big ten so we can at least neutralizes the opposing teams 5. And I see his floor as we get that for at least 2 years assuming he stays through his senior. And my opinion is that's worth 4 years of scholarship. And this is what I believe the floor to be

  5. I think Easley is stronger, tougher, more alert, more coachable, and more of a deep threat.

  6. Very, very poor effort defensively. One specific example was Jervay letting a guard blast right by him and he didn’t even give chase- just watched him drive and score. Was very evident that not everybody came to play. And I know this is in the past and he’s gone, but during the game I kept telling myself, if Cam Mack gives some of those passes down low to Brady, with those looks close to the basket, he’s going more than 3-10.

  7. Bo Pelini once said “You watched the game, what’d you think?” that’s all that needs to be said tonight. Losses like this shouldn’t happen... period. Losses like this are embarrassing. Losses like this happen maybe once every so many years... not once a month (or more).

    Turned a corner?

Never has a team been more adept at playing to the level of the opponent.

  15. Hopefully there will be some coaching with the young man. Add in, weight room work and I think he will be okay. He can be painful to watch right now.

  18. This is all laughable. He had the opportunity to sign in November and chose not to. Lol. Cmon you guys are all smarter than this and know dudes like this. Type of guy who wants everyone else to look like the bad guy and can’t take ownership. You all know this dude/kid.

  19. I really like Charlie but no way I am buying this. He might bring some things to the table we need more right now like toughness and intensity, which we need much more of from everyone. If they played 1v1 I think Green wins a lot more often than not. Think Green is getting a little to much blame here.

  24. Sorry, I just skimmed this thread. Did someone named Dorothy Lynch really play defense for our team in this game?

  25. I hope he's 20 years old as a junior, because that means he will have redshirted. Otherwise, he's 20 as a senior. His birthday is March 22, so when we in the Sweet Sixteen in 2022, he will be a 20-year-old junior for a week or so, but that's it.

  26. Yvan right now is playing smaller than his size. He needs to learn how to carve out space for himself under the bucket, weight/leverage/balance, all need work. He has yet to master the “wide stance” made famous by Senator Larry Craig @ the St Paul International Airport...

  36. You know dimes and I were just joking around, or at least I hope so. [emoji106] But given Hoiberg's history one must be prepared for change. We just hope he leaves the program in a better place than he found it is all. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

  37. Hoiberg seemed sincere about wanting to coach at NU for a long time. With his family history that isn't far fetched. As for Lat Mayen, he performed well enough at the Dallas Juco Blowout that he was the first mentioned in the article below. I hope NU could land him, and possibly fellow ranked Juco, Mading, as well as Kai Sotto or Frank Anselem, Alex Tchikou, Zach Clements or Wilhelm Breidenbach. We need two-three big guys who can block and alter shots as well as play the Hoiberg needs them to (shooting effectively). Does anyone know who the last couple of scholarship candidates are most likely to sign, or are there others more likely? https://www.jucorecruiting.com/news_article/show/1055191

  38. Didn’t get to listen to the 2nd half but it appears that this team has to give great effort every night to win games. That may not be physically and mentally possible.

  47. Also, i think the teams success this past week was more due to them starting to figure it out as a team and less to do with Jervay Green's absence.
