Huge article on Kent in the LJS this morning. He is approaching his 1000th basketball broadcast and easing his way into "legendary" status. Well deserved,Mr. P. (I'll defer making the link to someone who actually knows how to do it)
I would welcome Gary when Kent decides to hang it up. Would be a much better choice than Bishop. He’s a fun listen on Omaha games. Equal parts Fun, Intelligent and Passionate - much like our guy KP.
They were apparently gonna try to meet up with him but it just never happened. I think they said that on the Husker Online podcast or the Husker247 one. Forget which one honestly
I have grown to like and appreciate the various teams on 93.7. They have good chemistry and seem to be aware of the topical events. They also like to talk about Husker basketball, especially Jake and Sip.
Sadly, chest-pass is a nice way to put it. Samari's shot is butt ugly. But, I will say, if he winds up making 44+% as a FROSH, then it will be beautifully unorthodox. But, for now, butt-crack ugly.
I will miss Sharp and Benning. I do think Sharp can pull off the solo show. I will miss Severe talking with Dirk about most anything, but that's about it. Not looking forward to him and Benning together--I feel like Mike'l often speaks on sports issues he doesn't know much about. Never a fan of Unsportsmanlike Conduct, unless Sip is on :)
