    Roster Attrition

Have to wonder if he really wants to play D-1 college basketball all that much. He engaged in quite a bit of self-destructive behavior at NU. Sometimes that's just engaging in self-destructive behavior; sometimes that's a sign that a player doesn't really like basketball enough to make the commitment required at this level.

  4. Xavier's had 6 4 stars over the past four years and had the #11 class two years ago. Cincinnati didn't fare as well, but Cronin was more recruiting to his program more than he was recruiting the stars. We'll see how he does at UCLA. Maybe being in the Big East vs. AAC played a factor there, too.

  5. Danny was my favorite. He took this program to a level it had never been. Unfortunately, when it plateaued, he was replaced by Collier. Talk about a meh hire. Fast forward to 2019. Tim Miles brings excitement and life to a program that begged for any type of attention. He plateaued, in comes Fred Hoiberg. GBFRED! Happy Birthday, Danny!

  9. What the? Who on here has a podcast? Are we all supposed to have podcasts? Is this a thing? I don't have a podcast. Papa, do you want to start a podcast with me? We could talk about all sorts of crap that nobody should care about.

  10. The name Keith Brumbaugh comes to mind. I know who you are talking about anyways. Didn’t he end up at Okie State?

  11. If he can indeed shoot 33% while taking some 30ish footers, that is much different than a guy toe-ing the three point line and shooting 33%. I think it is a reasonable assumption that if he got better quality of looks his percentage could increase significantly. There are so many story lines with this team I can’t wait to see unfurl....can the season start already?!?!

  12. It's interesting to look at the DVH coaching tree and see how it's impacted this staff. You've got all sorts of "interbred" aspects goin on... Texarkana, Northwestern State, Nebraska, Arkansas, TAMU, Childress, Deggs, etc etc. So with that as a base, I'm hopeful that this group of coaches can pull it off, and have similar success as those they've been mentored by.

  13. Yeah, I was just confirming. You thought he was average.. busticket said he considered average to be the 33% range.. so I was just adding that Curtis did indeed shoot 33%. It would be interesting to see a Curtis shot chart from his senior year, or at least a breakdown of the distance he shot from. If he was having to jack shots from 25 feet routinely (because the defense focused on him), that would paint a bit of a different picture. In the article busticket mentioned (posted here by jayschool), the coach said Curtis was allowed to pull from 30 to 35 feet. So maybe just getting open looks from 23 would be enough to up that percentage.

  15. So what is everyone’s guess about what slot Isaiah will be drafted tonight. I’ve seen anywhere from 27-44 lately. Im going to say the 34th spot to the 76ers

  16. The Golden State Warriors acquired an extra 2nd round pick this morning - #41 from the Atlanta Hawks. They are likely losing Durant, Bogut is old, and Cousins is likely gone to another team. Golden State was one of a handful of teams that interviewed Roby during the combine and they also had him out recently for a private workout. I'm calling my shot and saying that Roby ends our 21st Century draft drought and is selected #41 by the Golden State Warriors.

  22. Stupid question of the day. And this is with all due respect to the posters on this board who have podcasts. But what qualifies an individual to produce/star in podcasts? Is it sort of the same as writing a tweet? I guess what I am asking is why should anyone care what somebody says on a podcast?

  23. I could see Cross and Ouedraogo together combining 30-40 min a game. I think Curtis has a legit chance to play just bc i think we will be playing a lot of 4 gaurd and even 5 gaurd (Stevenson or Kavas as the "5") lineups.

  28. In theory we will have 11 guys returning next year. Considering how cut-throat we've been and how many offers we've thrown out doesn't it seem like we will continue to turn over this roster?
