  1. What they don't get is players getting drafted and going pro is good for the Huskers, because a program that sends kids to the NBA is able to recruit more NBA-quality kids to come play for it.

  2. I mean, he hasn't been drafted just yet...

  3. Preferably not the "White III" Hawks jersey. Those should all be discarded by now.

  4. Those fans only care about how successful Nebraska is and are completely selfish. They couldn't care less what these kids do with their lives afterwards, as long as dear ole Nebraska U gets W's.

  5. So Creighton and Michigan are sharing a plane to Oregon. I'm sure there are plenty of Husker "hate" stories going around on that flight.

  6. That's incorrect. College basketball made that change but until the NBA also does today is the deadline.

  8. She’s not on any hot seat. last year’s team was a 17, 18-win NIT bunch that scheduled its way out of a NIT bid. I dunno how much of that was on the new staff or the old one (feel like the drake and wazzu series predate Williams) but I’d expect the non-con this year wont include five road games at Power six conference teams.

  9. you gotta add the , "dun dun DUNNNNNHHHH!" part at the end, just to make it suitably mysterious...:)

  10. Disagree with the OP. Fred was so organized when he arrived, less than two months later the only thing we have to talk about is whether Roby is going pro or not. I’m not pleased with what he has done to the board.

  14. Samari got his "Ohio Mr Basketball" award (a massive plaque that will hang in his HS gym with other title banners) yesterday. With his quick and covert recruitment, there wasn't a single video of him posted in his two threads on HHC. This first one is an interview where he talks about his favorite player being Steph Curry, and how he prefers playing the point. The second video is from a game he went for 44, and showed glimpses of his "in the gym" range. Also, in the second video, watch for the crushing screen, set by Andre Almieda's son, at the 1:43 mark.

  20. Pretty dumb to be critical at this point. Nobody knows what kind of guarantee he has lineup up or not.

  21. Andrew White III, I presume... (as AW-III did play briefly for the Hawks, as it were.) ?

  29. I was bummed at his passing a few years back. He was only 16 when he sang lead on The Letter. Awesome song. Cocker's remake was pretty good, too.

  30. I saw Alex Chilton at a club in Deep Ellum in Dallas after I covered the first round of the NCAA Tournament in 1989. CSU beat Florida in a bit upset. Great show by Chilton, too.

  32. well, i didn't use the word "hot". roll your eyes, syh, whatever---but, miss another tourney and it has to be a little concerning. would have to believe it won't make that recruiting trail any easier. that is what it is all about if your expectations are to consistently be in the race for a title or ncaa bid. as things stand at the moment, tough time breaking that top 60 when it comes to recruiting talent. hoping that changes. i believe i am correct in stating that one of coach williams biggest concerns has been getting that consistent offensive threat. btw, i fully expect this squad to make the ncaa next season. as long as the team stays relatively healthy, and, especially if they get production from 1or 2 of the incoming class. no doubt it's going to be another season of chasing maryland by the rest of the big ten-----and, may add ohio state to the fray. expect them to finish 1-2 next season.

  34. I really would like some verification on the hot seat statement. All I have ever read is that coach williams is doing a great job and Moos loves how she is doing her job. One yahoo on the rivals board made a statement last winter, but nothing that is said over there can be taken seriously.

  35. Ask Pollard if he won't renew a basketball rivalry maybe some future home and homes on the baseball diamond would suffice?
