  1. Moos sucks. If losing @ Minnesota is the worse loss this year and we continue our home game winning streak, the Minnesota loss will be a small pothole in a golden brick road. Assuming Minnesota is an NIT level team Way too early for people to be going crazy like this. I was on another board, and they were coming up with lists of replacements after the Minnesota game. Really makes me think who I hate more, creighton fans or the breed of husker fans that blindly want Miles gone and will never credit him for the positive things he has done.

  2. If Miles does not get a 4-6 year extension at the end of this season, I'm off the Moos bandwagon. Yeah, he's here to fix football, but don't ruin basketball. I hope some donors can get in his ear with support for Miles (maybe remind him of the Devaney years when there were only 5K at the arena). I think the fact coach only received a 1 year extension was a joke. Its time Moos hitches his cart to coach Miles. Hasn't Moos only hired 1 basketball coach twice? I mean come on. OK, rant over, I feel better. ?

  3. Anybody that can play at a high level in major division 1 basketball is a phenomenal athlete. More athletic than you could possibly imagine. IIRC, all of those guys are still playing pro ball so, yes...they are great. Way to throw some pretty serious shade at guys who have played for the team you claim to be a fan of.

  4. At some point you have to make the decision whether he is your guy or not. You state that we are losing our best three players. Probably correct. How many more have we lost because of his contract? We know of one at least. If he gets it done this year, give him a deal that’s going to allow him to do what he does best. That’s recruit.

  5. Nah, I’m being sarcastic (at least a little). I’m just not a Moos fanboy and don’t like how he’s approached the basketball program. Feels a bit Eichorst/Pelini-ish.

  8. This might sound glib, but we wore the red because the players wanted to. Not really anything more complicated than that. I thought it looked great.

  9. This is undoubtedly one of my three greatest life achievements. In no particular order: 1) Finding woman to marry me 2) Finding woman to birth two children that I think are mine 3) Leading the greatest message board competition of all time A close 4th is being directly quoted on Blue Jay Underground for my score prediction: Recruited Fairly - 84 Paid to Play - 75 Wish I would have given us more credit like my gut was telling me!!!

    Scouting Denver

Denver is 7-2 with losses to No.Colo and Wyoming, both of these games were on the road. Denver has only played three roads games up to tonight, they play at New Mexico State tomorrow night. Denver averages 86.1 pts. a game & 43.9 rbs a game. they shoot .451 from the field & .434 from behind the arc they also avg. 16.6 asst & 16.1 TO's a game. the asst to TO ratio is 1.0. Denver has six players over 6' the starting five looks like this, Samantha Romanowski 5'9" has played 278 mins. avgs. 8.6 pts, Claire Gritt 5'10" has played 267 mins. avgs. 12.3 pts, Lauren Loven 5'7' has played 258 mins. avgs. 18.3 pts, Madison Nelson 6'1" has played 248 mins. avgs. 14.9 pts, Sydney Mech 6'2" has played 228 mins. avgs 8.3 pts. 11. I think you're mostly correct. I think Tim will be looking for another starter, and I also think the roster is not yet set. I think Heiman will be a solid backup for a B1G team a year from now, but he's probably not yet going to be starting material next year. At least if we want to remain competitive for the top half of the league. If we want to remain in contention for the top half of the league, we will need to find a suitable replacement for Copeland and hope and pray that Roby stays. Seems to me our best bet is a grad transfer big. That kid from Tulane we played a few years back who did a grad transfer after that season? That kind of player. We have minutes and we have a backcourt, so we should be an attractive landing spot for someone who wants to try to really make their mark in their final season.

If the sell out streak is ever in jeopardy for Husker football, I think a day where swiss mushroom runzas are sold at Memorial Stadium could right that ship.

  17. Inexcusable for OSU to be 4-5 right now. No way they should have lost at Charlotte or Tulsa. They should be 6-3 at worst, not 4-5. This was supposed to be a Q1 win against a top 50 team on a neutral floor and those guys have ruined it. Jerks.

  21. Was at the game on Saturday, I will say as a creighton fan I was unsettled due to the environment so who knows how the players felt when the place erupted 5-6 times. PBA is an incredible venue. props to you guys, you beat us fair and square. The defensive effort we brought to a rivalry game was quite undeserving of a win.

My how time flies. The last one of these I started, we were counting the number of "agins," and had Sak and a guy named Verlander playing for us. Seems like yesterday....

  28. It's more like — OK, this season is definitely gonna be a fun ride. Can we come close to repeating such awesomeness, or will we be merely good?

  29. My turn: 1 — Allen has shown his ability to penetrate and either score or kick. He can be everything that Glynn is on both ends of the court. MAW backs him up, with Harris as a possibility. 2 — Burke appears to be the slasher/scorer that we've had in Petteway and Palmer. Harris and/or Green can back him up. 3 — Akenten has shown athleticism enough on both ends to be given a shot until we know if Green can play at this level. Green and/or Harris back him up. Akol sits for a year. 4 — Roby gets a year in at his natural position, but there's no backup at this time. Nana could stretch if he had to. 5 — Heiman will be ready to start, but he'll need a year more to crack the top half of conference 5's. No backup unless Tanner appeals for another year or we find a grad transfer who can sub in at 4 and 5.

  30. I'll go for next year's starting 5. Assuming Roby comes back: Allen Burke Green Roby Heimann Akenten Harris Frontcourt player yet to be named Adams-Woods Frontcourt player yet to be named

  31. The last two days have been so blissful. I particularly liked the angsty, sorrow that was Blue Jay Banter. The world is just a little brighter when the Blue is blue. Also, I really enjoyed Jack's show. I hope that think takes off.

  33. If this year goes as we hope (NCAA or better)...yes...he should get one. If it doesn't....(NIT or worse)...then we should be shopping.

  39. I've lived in Omaha since 2011. Huskers last win against Council Bluffs State was in 2010. It feels so good to walk into work today and my blue bird coworkers weren't chirping. I made sure to walk in wearing my Husker basketball sweatshirt and dropped off a bag of 100 grand bars to the break room. I'm gonna enjoy this year folks and I hope we all do. #letemcry
