  1. Not that there were many in the boat to start with, but we all can see now that this was definitely NOT a Miles or staff issue at the end of the day and was really a White family issue.

  2. Who cares people. I am tired of clicking on this link hoping there be news.... But nope just people arguing back and forth!!!!

  3. Let's atleast let kid play some games for us before we write him off as a waste of a scholarship.

  4. Is it really that uncommon for high schoolers to not take the ACT until early fall of their senior year? Most kids won't start sending in applications until December - plenty of time for those test scores to come back. I would imagine any academic issues he was experiencing have been/will be straightened out by the stalwart staff at Boys Town. That could be why he's there in the first place - and why high majors aren't being shy with their offers.

  5. So sort of like this, but about moving on instead of down arrows. It's a bit hypocritical to gripe about the peer pressure of being told to "move on" while on the same token demanding anyone who might downvote you having to explain themselves.

  6. Haven't seen much news posted about this young man lately but he recently decided basketball is his sport in college and is getting blown up by good mid major offers. South Dakota just offered.... IMO, he and Jacobsen or not very similar as some have suggested. Jacobsen is a much better athlete, while Strom shoots it better (potentially). Who Strom reminds me of is my former favorite Husker - Andrew Drevo. Whether that fandom was ironic or not is still up to debate. But anyways, Jacobsen and Morrow will be juniors when Strom would be a freshman. I think he'd make a nice combo with Jordy as he anchors down low, and Strom stretches the floor. He also has a big, thick frame, that would help him guard bigger guys.

  7. Is there really not a Teddy Allen thread on this board? I looked a couple times but couldn't find one. Thoughts on the man? He's heating up big time on offers. Game reminds me of Shavon Shields. Better from outside, but not as big or as athletic as Shavon.

  8. Only read posts from one person here who thought it was a Miles and staff issue. Like it was stated there were only a couple on here, but in general in you ever go on to other boards, there were quite a few that arent well versed on the day to day of things like we are here that had their pitchforks ready to go. I think we tend to be a little more educated over here, at times, but just making more of a blanket statement as time goes on.

  9. Jim Larranaga is a high character guy, and I doubt he will have much tolerance for AWIII's antics. Its getting sad watching AWIII camp artificially drum up interest by "leaking" supposed visits. To my knowledge the only school which AWIII actually visited was Syracuse. Not Michigan State, not Louisville.

  10. Perhaps AW-III has the same agent as Burno.

  11. Only read posts from one person here who thought it was a Miles and staff issue. I think there were 2 or 3 dissenting, tops. Boy THAT was dissenting! It's like the 2 or 3 telling AW-III he had to go elsewhere to hear what he wanted to hear here.

  12. Only 12 days away from a full Burno since he announced it.

  15. Arop is more than likely already N. I doubt the staff would pull his schollie bc he his going to be a great defender and has really improved his ball handling plus he has a great work ethic. I see us signing a 3 man class next year, but four is totally possible with the annual average of two transfers per team. So I would go with Arop, Batts, Flagg, and Sims. But there are also some other good players out there I wouldn't mind signing like Bede, Teddy Allen, and another C.

  16. Agreed! I think Allen is a better player than Arop right now.

  17. Arop is already on board. Flagg is my first choice after that. I also like Wabissa Bede and then Sims and the Allens.

  18. So . . . according to Robin, Teddy Allen "was kind of struggling" with his grades in Arizona and "plans on taking his first ACT in September." There are, undoubtedly, significant recruiting issues and strategies surrounding those two points. Since high majors are starting to weigh-in with offers, perhaps we can assume that Teddy is getting some good news on the grades front out of summer school.

  19. Deverell Biggs was supposed to do that. Arop and Chang have proven the offer is there early if you're good enough. Other than that you don't just offer a guy to show Nebraska kids anything. They should be smart enough to know if they work hard and can produce on the court an offer is very possible and that should be that. Now for Allen it's the tough case in offering and getting a commitment from a young player like Arop. If I had the choice and no backlash id swap the two of them and still take another wing and PG for the class.

  20. I agree 100%. I'm shocked at lack of offers to centers. 1 sprained ankle away from being at same place as last year. The other thing I don't understand, is if you are not going to be a big team, don't you have to go after a couple pure shooters?

It's a bit hypocritical to gripe about the peer pressure of being told to "move on" while on the same token demanding anyone who might downvote you having to explain themselves. Actually, I think those two positions are perfectly and absolutely consistent. Look at what I said about the effects of red arrows and what I've said about the effects of peer pressure to "move on." They both stifle discussion. I've been perfectly consistent on that point. So, no, it's not hypocritical at all.
