  1. Fixed your post for you. Look, cut the sour grapes crap, it makes the rest of us look bad. When a team whips you, it's always best to man up and admit it. Not whine about playing the starters too much. Used to hear the same crap when we'd kick Big 8 teams like K-State's ass in football back in the day. Let's keep our mouth shut until we get another crack at the....and beat them!!! Then, let's start talking. He isn't saying we didn't get our butts kicked. He is saying sans the first 15 minutes of the game..we beat them. Our starters beat theirs. No sour grapes... Your comment was off.

    Five and Six Seeds

I know the NCAA committee says it doesn't look for interesting matchups, it's always just a coincidence when it happens. But is it possible they go out of their way to match us with a Big XII team? The reason I ask is each of the past 2 seasons, didn't Nebraska's women get matched with Big XII teams, Kansas in the first round two years ago and they played in Texas A&M's regional last year right? Met the Aggies in the 2nd round I believe. So maybe Texas, Baylor, or Oklahoma would be around the 6-7 seed line to perhaps match with NU as a 10-11 seed? Just a thought for those of us w

    Who's going?

I have my ticket! Cannot believe Huskers are coming to San Antonio!!!! I don't like the match up with Baylor but would love a rematch with the Jays. Plus, Iowa State, North Carolina and Providence are going to be there. Tickets are going to be hard to come by when Hilton South heads south!

  17. This has always been a very classy board as I have been a long time lurker of it. I think as with anything, something like Nebrasketball gets more popular and brings in all kinds of people good and bad with it. (I realize the irony of this statement coming from me as I just joined the board last month) I love all of the attention Nebraska is getting and the excitement in people around our communities lately. Of course the bandwagon is also going to attract the "meathead crowd", Internet tough guys, and your typical message board trolls. Take the good with the bad I suppose.

Not a bubble item - but which #1 and #2 seeds get punished by having an under-seeded Mich St in their region? Whew. They're a new animal this week so far.

Gotta admit, it's fun to see Dougie McBuckets shoot the ball; other than that, I'm totally okay with Creighton blowing a gasket in their "greatest" moment. It should be noted that Providence came to play tonight, and deserved the victory!

  28. I typically don't comment on Creighton topics, but Grant Gibbs is just awful. Dirty plays non-stop. I love it when Creighton fans call into the local radio programs and say, "everyone hates to play against him, but everyone wants a player like Grant Gibbs on their team". Umm...no. I like a player with passion and effort, but I'll pass on a dirty player who doesn't play the game the right way. The guy committed to Gonzaga in the summer of 2007....it's 2014. He's a grown man out there taking shots at 18-21 year old boys. Sorry for the rant, but my eyes just roll anytime I see him play or

If he transfers to another school in the same conference he would lose a year of eligibility, so I doubt Nebraska would be an option.

  33. I used to bounce around between 1480 and 93.7 on the drive home, but 93.7 won me over with thier Nebrasketball coverage. I'd love to see a 93.7 post game show. Player interviews, assitant coaches, maybe have ex-players involved like Piatkowski or Chubick.

  35. Well, Terran turned Miles down once at CSU. Obviously, coach was his 2nd option. So you never know. That just doesn't sound like how TM operates to me. He's all about relationships and no hard feelings, it seems to me.

  40. No offense to Norm, but I think his question is a losing attitude. I've watched us for most of my life, and I finally feel like we're good enough, and have a good enough coach. I think looking for silver linings is something that we have made ourselves do over the past decade plus. We shouldn't be accepting, which you are by talking about silver linings, I played my share of big games in high school, my coaches never talked about silver linings. You are either a winner or a loser in basketball. I think we're winners, but I think this kind of attitude from fans makes it easier to acce

  42. Sorry, ladies and gents, it's my fault: I knew that Ohio State would get the benefit of the calls w/ the refereeing we had today. It's too bad that it had to be that way, but Aaron Craft & the Bucks are able to clutch, grab & hold while Terran Petteway & the Huskers seemed to touch the lil' buckeroos & it's a 'foul'. Even Dan Dakich commented on it in the 1st half... knew it would be a long day!! Despite that, the real problem I had was Nebraska's response to full-court pressure. It was horrendous. The key turning point in the game was when Pitchford tried the reverse

  43. just a random thought while I try to stay on topic: Ive always wondered if ncaa players talk to refs after the game to get to know them and befriend them in order to get calls favored their way.... former husker Lance Jeter posted something similar on twitter where he said the refs knew him by name and would give him a warning after warning instead of a foul
    1 point
  44. Lol at people blaming the refs. Yes, the officiating was suspect down the stretch. However, if we execute we win, plain and simple. We choked, fellas. Both players and staff.
