  1. Just to pull this conversation back to the OP. I want to add something about character. I know Petteway has been working his butt off everyday already this summer. His parents wanted him to come home for a few weeks, and the coaches even said he should take a break. Guess what...... he won't go home so he can stay here and not get lazy on mom's cooking. He is also constantly on the other guys about workouts. The coaches love his attitude. He has great parents who would expect nothing less from him. Good kid. Glad we have him on our team.

  2. Said he talks to Jake Muhleisen frequently. He said they were talking about Nebraska basketball and about adding FGCU to the schedule. He said Muhleisen is usually pretty critical of players and doesn't just pump sunshine and throw out empty feel-good compliments about players. Bahe said that during their conversation, Muhleisen said "Biggs, Petteway, and Pitchford are the real deal and are going to do some exciting things starting next season." I haven't personally heard a lot about Biggs, but I have heard nothing but great things about Petteway and Pitchford from people that have seen them in practice. People always seem to talk about their skill/athleticism. Next season could be really exciting. Nothing groundbreaking, take it for what it's worth.

  3. Just one time. One time the basketball gods could let something like this happen. He's huge. He's a center. He's skilled. He can pass. He can shoot. Loved his video. Handles the ball, creative passer. Can shoot from the outside and has big body post moves as well. Here's the YouTube version of the video in case youre on iPhone like me and it won't allow the rivals vid.

  4. He actually doesn't look to be in bad shape. This video talks about him and you can see a few clips of him around the 1:13 mark:http://rivals.yahoo.com/video/recruiting-basketball/Recap-Day-2-of-NBPA-Top-100-Camp-1105234 Yeah I've watched some video now and he's just big. Still pretty athletic. That initial judgement was after only seeing his rivals profile picture. It's just shoulders up and he's got one of those squishy faces going on.

  5. Hey Norm, maybe we can still get Sheldon Jeter. @EyeOnCBB: Report: Vanderbilt blocking Sheldon Jeter's transfer to Pittsburgh: http://t.co/UMW8LPaOAw

  7. Uhh, whoa. Sorry, nope. I am a lifer and my expectations rarely are low, but I do not freak out if my expectations are not met. I look for the meaning of what happened and then what it will take to fix the issues, but my expectations remain high. I would think that if you asked the administration at UNL and or Coach Miles himself, he would have equally high, if not higher expectations. Knowing Tim, I'm guessing his are higher!

  9. Treshawn Thurman certainly fits the mold of guys we seem to be targeting: long and athletic. For example, all but one PG we are targeting so far is 6'2" or taller. It certainly made us a better defensive team when Miles shifted Talley to the point; having a tall, long and athletic team makes everything a little harder on the opposing team when they are on offense. It reminds me a bit of how the Michigan State roster is made up, which is obviously a good thing.

  10. This year I hope/expect NIT or fringe NCAA. The year after...I expect NCAA with at least one win at the dance. I do not want to lower my expectations, nor do I think I should at this time.

  11. Jackie Moon? I don't know, his form on his free throws is kind of odd...old school you might say.

  12. You mean they took a break from NBA and Creighton talk to mention Nebraska basketball. That's groundbreaking.
