Wow Dana Altman is leaving scholarships open? I know you are joking but....I would be surprised if he has done so 5 years in a row. Either way, nobody would probably say a peep about not utilizing scholarships if we were coming off an elite 8 run as opposed to two losing seasons.1 point -

son of a bee sting we have an eye rolling face thingy? Might have to start using that one. or this:1 point -
Kind of see this team will be considerably different than last year. Our sophomore big's will be much improved with a year of B1G experience under their belts. If Jess (and Burn;s) have fully recovered, may well see both be able to do much more. I hope for a big year from Allie. This is her last go around in NU red. Our guards will have a lot of newbies to spread around, but some experience is coming back. Maddie, Cincore, Esther. Plus we'll have at least one more true wing. Biggest difference will most likely be much different team concepts. That will really be interesting to see how the team is put together scheme wise, personnel wise. Beat the chicken hawks.....heck yes1 point

I'll need to check my old scorebooks to see if I coached against this kid. Pretty damn cool!1 point -
This would be the one complaint I have with Miles. I know some here say you only have an 8-9 man rotation and I understand that. However, no offense to any walk-on that spends his time busting his backside to be part of the team, but practicing against a kid like White goes a lot further in development than a kid the starters are clearly better than.1 point

I want to go play softball and then drink a cold beer. Much better ways to kill some time than worrying about the state of the basketball program in Lincoln.1 point

Hear! Hear! And I wouldn't count out contributions from the incoming class of freshmen! hope you are right about the freshman-----gonna need a surprise or two.1 point -
...and by 2/3 full of Rivals 150 guys you must remember that means eight (8) of twelve (12) kids on the current roster are Rivals 150's. Most here agree that Webster and McVeigh, if they were US kids, would have also comfortably made the Rivals 150 as well. So it's technically a roster that includes 10 out of 12 kids who are top 150 players. ...and people want to crack on coach Miles because he was unable to land a couple of guys, one who is headed to an elite program in Texas and another who appears destined for Oregon (who is no slouch either). I believe we may want to step off the ledge a bit.1 point

Yeah, plus we'll be rolling out a roster at least 2/3 full of Rivals 150 guys. Several of whom are ESPN 100 guys. Probably the best collection of talent we've had on the Husker roster since the Nee glory days... Things are really heading south quick, aren't they?1 point

Ha! Yeah. How bad can it get? Let's see: --we lose out on -- but nearly signed -- a previously top-50 player --Texas beats us for a top-flight recruit --We part ways with a no-star recruit --We finally sign a 6'10" Center that the coaches have been after for a couple years --We are competing with Ohio St. for a 2017 point guard Yep. Those items are true sign of a program on the ropes . . . not.1 point

On 8/23 @ 6 AM I laid myself down for what turned into an 8 hour surgery where they split your chest and pull out your heart (yes, they did confirm I still have one) and try to fix it. Then I spent the next 4 days unconscious and the last few getting up enough strength to read this board. I am not sure whether this topic or the hospital was more painful. I picked a great time to take a nap!1 point

Question for all the Miles supporters: Does it matter to you at all that this basically ends our chances of signing a kid like Chang-- who is going to be a stud. Arops younger brother-- who is going to be a big time stud-- and other Omaha kids?? And if you say it won't affect those relationships--- you are outside your mind crazy. Whats wrong with having your 'Nick Fuller' be an instate kid from the best Program in the state who is insanely popular with the top level recruits coming out of that city in the next 2-3 years?? Are we even going to fill his scholarship? Or just carry one over again? Your sunshine pumping koolaid drinking naive comments are EXACTLY why our program has been trash and will continue to be....1 point
