  1. So we will know by August 31 at 11:59:59!Never Mind Why never mind? Mine was just a smart ass remark. So what was the problem with it? Nothing to do with your remark at all! I had not heard about Rosenthal leaving LJS. Read the wrong thread first is all. Sorry it it came across differently. I couldn't figure out how to delete the post asking about Rosenthal so.... My fault. Just not a adept at things as most on here.

  4. Yeah, I don't quite see this one either. White is good, but 4 is the one spot where we're loaded. McVeigh, Morrow, Horne and Jacobson already on the roster. Wouldn't he be a junior in 2017-18, along with Morrow, McVeigh and Jacobson? Maybe he's quite a bit better than those guys, when healthy (i have no idea; I've never seen the guy play). And I'm not sure that grouping would qualify as "loaded" from other teams' perspectives. Like "wow, the guys they have at that spot are crazy good, what will we do?" I mean, I like our guys, and we've upgraded the talent, but we have to keep doing that in this league. Every year. If he was quite a bit better, White would not be transferring. White is a good match for the Georgetown offense. I see him less as a PF and more as a poor man's Otto Porter (another Georgetown player). Porter parlayed his role at Georgetown into a lottery pick (granted Porter has struggled in his role at times with Washington and may be replaced by Kelly Oubre). That being said, I will defer to TheKamdyMan's analysis of White's talent. My biggest issue is that we need more depth at G and C than we need anther F. Collecting talent is nice, but bringing a sixth guy to play amongst 2 positions does not make sense. Further that would give us 5 guys in the 2019-2020 senior class. *6 guys in that class (2018-19) as you are probably forgetting about James Palmer. However, Robin said in his write up that Paul White is a no brainer for a medical hardship so that would put him with Roby, Horne, and Tshimanga if that is true. There is no guarantee all of those guys will be here next year. Even if it's collecting talent in some regards it's a no-brainer for what would be an used scholarship and there is no guarantee that Paul even stays past two years when he could potentially grad transfer. I hope we're grooming Roby towards being a combo guard and that he has the skill set for it...that would solve some of our logjam problem.

  5. So we will know by August 31 at 11:59:59! It will be in the waning moments after Team USA gets Gold in Rio when AW-III will call Jim Boeheim while he is receiving his own gold medal. Boeheim will hold up 3 digits to signify the commitment of #3 to the Orange. I'm sure it is all scripted out.... That's alright. I'm pretty sure he's going to transfer again after this stint at Syracuse... this time to another country.

    Olympic BBall

USA women's BBall won the gold, and were remarkable, just remarkable, all through the Olympics. Very focused and played the game together as a collective team, with everyone working together with one goal in mind. Not a Geno fan, but he did assemble, and have the team playing outstanding BBall. You could watch and see his coaching theory /schemes....... and his "stamp" on the team. The players sure responded to him. Awesome !
