On another slant to the transfer news on Janay, I haven't seen anything on it in the OWH ,LJS or Huskers.Com. I'm tired of reading too many articles about Terran Pettaway and would hope the writers would give us better coverage on WBB. This has been kind of an on going bitch of mine. Again as noted before thank goodness for this forum.

Is it just me or do we have a decent relationship with a guy who doesn't come back here because he's basically too busy? From the quotes from Lue it looks like he and Miles keep in touch and spent some time together just recently in Vegas. If Lue was active on social media, it seems like he would interact with Miles. If you read what Lue has to say, it doesn't seem like he really cares about having his jersey in the rafters. -------------------- Anyway, I asked Lue if he thought his jersey would be retired. “I doubt it,” he said. “It’s not a big deal to me. Whatever we can do to get the team and the school some recognition, they ought to do it. But it’s not a big thing in my book.” -------------------- At this point I don't think there is any formal criteria for our hall of fame but I doubt that negligible recruiting boost is ever going to be one of them.

This I check this thread about once every 10 days, read a few posts back until I realize he hasn't committed anywhere, then move on to other things. And I'm thinking about ending this practice completely.

Personally, I think we should avoid them.

Waylon Van Smack is the absolute worst kind of Jaysker there is. It's particularly difficult to understand when you consider the success of the women's basketball program over the past dozen years or so. Twelve, count 'em, TWELVE (seven NCAA & 5 NIT) appearances over the past fourteen years! And it's not like we don't have any players (former or present) worth writing about. Several notable names/careers in the past, returning freshmen of the year, and a NIT championship-winning incoming coach.

This little blurb gets lost in Barfknecht's piece on Nebrsska's relationship with Tyronne Lue: "Lue has strong affection for Miles, who he stays in contact with. The two met recently in Las Vegas when Miles was recruiting."

Janay has basically been a three year starter at Eastern MIchigan after graduating from High School in 2013. So this coming season would be her red shirt year due to the transfer. Eastern Michigan had a coaching change this past May hiring Fred Castro who had been an assistant coach at the Univ. of Wash. for the previous 3 years.

I looked at the season box score for the 15/16 season and she was listed as playing.

Enormous athletic improvement from Watson. Strength staff looks to be working wonders on the young pups. That video is nuts for a 6 footer. GW is the truth.

With 2 talented proven players in Stallworth and Morton basically redshirting this year they will have the benefit of all the support programs to make them even better and by contributing in practice they will learn first hand the system brought by coach Williams. They should hit the ground running next year and add ability and depth to the guard position.

I think Standhardinger had one. Cold weather was a contributing factor....
