  1. We show up but we don't make noise, typically. That's something we have to fix. And the HUSKER POWER chant to open each game is a good start. There is a big difference between best fans and most rowdy fans. No doubt NU fans are very loyal and show up but just like in football that showing up doesn't necessarily make it a tough environment to play in. NU fans are "self proclaimed" the greatest fans in college sports but there are way more difficult environments to play in than Lincoln, NE

  2. I agree. It's hard to tell the context from that quote. Mi'Cole certainly could have told Connie "I am not coming to Nebraska, but I respect your opinion; to the extent you are willing, please give me your thoughts on the following schools I am considering." I do have information that once the coaching change was made, the new staff did not strongly pursue Cayton. If that quote, which is only a positive comment about Cal, and nothing negative about Nebraska, gets to the level of "ugly", man, are we sensitive.

  3. Yes we show up but when we are actually good and playing for something I think the atmosphere is/will be pretty electric (i.e. Wisconsin 2013-14). Obviously that is a really small sample size but if we are playing for the things Michigan State and Indiana are typically playing for I think our crowd responds accordingly. Until then we will continue to be a mild crowd imo.

  4. It sounds like to me they talked after Mi'Cole knew she wasn't coming here. I would hope that is what happened, guess we never will know.

  8. In a recent interview with one time Husker commit Mi"Cole Cayton, she reveals a boost from a source that helped her in choosing Cal after re-opening her commitment. A tidbit the previous regime most likely didn't want to be made public. Which raises the question, was she in the ear of the others who have moved on? Sounds a little vindictive to me. http://bearinsider.com/news/story.php?article=2119

  10. I like Silver's & HB's take. If the new staff did not strongly recruit Mi'Cole, that is not on Coach Yori. Mi'Cole did seem to take her time in making her decision.

  11. Doesn't sound like Connie, after the breakup.... encouraged Cayton to come on to UNL does it? If Connie was contacting "people" it could of had an affect on how things turned out. Vindictive seems an appropriate word probably. Just a sad story overall.....and gets weirder, and ugly.

  12. That's pretty cool. Gotta find ways to stay 1 step ahead of the competition. It's amazing how far strength & conditioning have come in sports. I know our girls are working hard this summer too. B1G basketball is no joke. There's really not a "bad" team. Hope our girls are ready in the fall! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk

  16. He is that kid that in an open gym his team plays for the whole day because he does things to help them win. I like him, we need a kid like this.
