"Jake, I thought you'd never ask! You're gonna owe me some cash after this, and no I won't take any vegimite as payment. That crap is disgusting." Not sure if he's asking me or not, but I'll assume he is - pretty clear by the picture in the article that his end hand positioning with his left indicates his left thumb gets in his shot, which can create inconsistency because it means he's a hands shooter. Being a hands shooter isn't a bad thing, shows you have a lot of eye-hand coordination and you'll be prone to some hot streaks. But it also means you'll have some cold streaks. Hands have little muscles - little muscles fail in crunch time or during any moments of energy swings. This is why putting is so hard for most people. My remedy? Work more on your foot work and always getting your feet where they need to be and ready to explode into your shot. Not necessarily about jumping high to shoot, but having your hips ready to explode on the catch, same way, every time. This will take some of the small muscles out of the equation as your body will figure out that you've got more "oomph" in your shot now - allowing you to finish with a more accurate, more consistent, one hand release. With your left high, but open to your head, not the rim. You're welcome, Jack.

  4. Which option do you go without? Pick as many as apply. As for me? You can take away my spicy, alcoholic, tomato-based, carbonated chocolate when you pry it from my cold dead stomache. Meanwhile, I guess I'll be up posting stupid stuff on HHC at 1:40 a.m. #donttreadonme Edited to add: By the way, you can't vote to do without something you don't already regularly consume, OK?

  6. Two things... 1). Of COURSE he's 6'7". We will have that all 6'7" roster...soon. 2). Interesting choice of Husker player in that photo collage in his tweet.

  7. FWIW the woman in the picture is 6'4" If she was 6'4, the guys are all 7 footers. Is it weird the first thing I noticed is that she is carrying a baby? Tell me I'm not the only one... Nah, you're a new father. You notice things like that. I noticed it rather quickly, as well. It's not a baby. She caught one of those Pokemons...

  8. Unless exempted under a tournament, we can only play 12 non-con games so it's not possible to have 13 unless you can do one of those 4 game tourneys. Did we just figure out to get a W without decreasing our RPI or SOS though? Like when we went to the tourney we beat The Citadel, which had a RPI of 325 I think we get credit for the win on our schedule here but don't take the RPI hit. Is this perhaps slightly superior to a low RPI in that regard?

  11. I think he will sign with a team for the upcoming seasonI agree with both of these statements/questions. He looks as good or better than a lot of the regular roster guys who are playing in the Summer League. And unlike some of the guys who appear to be "getting their own", he isn't forcing much.I agree with this, but there are several people (especially Milwaukee Bucks fans) who are hating on him and think he's a black hole. I was reading a message board of theirs to see what they think of him and it was non stop hate. I think they are still butt hurt about Petteway and Co taking them down on no sit sundayHe is a black hole, always has been. The NBA is a black hole league. Make him into a second team gunner or something. He can certainly guard, rebound, finish, and run just as well as any of those other guys. TP can plan in the NBA, I have little doubts about it.

Sad deal, IMHO. Bob Herold's son will be a SOPH. Bob's wife is the athletically acclaimed Sondra Obermeier of Aurora. Other than that, I don't know all that much about it. I was shocked. Herold is held in very high regard in baseball circles.

  14. According to Mark Cuban, he thinks Thon is a great player for 40 years old. It was quite funny... the debate is whether Maker is 19 or (actually) 23.

  15. If I remember last year at the open scrimmage at the vault, AWIII was trying to guard Gill, and Gill was pretty much lighting him up. Sooooooo... could be true what Norm thinks, or... not!

  16. Yeah, funny story about that. I bumped into him walking across city campus the other day and he asked me if I knew where the Hendricks Training Complex was at. I said, "Young man, this is a prestigious university; we do NOT end our sentences with prepositions." Anyway, long story short, I helped give him directions.
