I wish tanner wouldn't have left the team, he'd be a good practice partner for jordy

  7. Watching Jordy's cureent film there is no way he plays 15 minutes a game, much less over 20. He will be good but needs quite a bit of work, big and tall or not. I hope I am wrong but will be surprised if I am.

  8. I think I figured out Andrew's plan. He comes back to Nebraska to play and starts his own sportswear place on the side with all the free gear he has collected!

  9. +1 That's what we need. If Jordy does that, he'll see more PT, and he'll score more off putbacks and occasional feeds. I just don't think he's a Maric-type player who will merit playing time early based on his offensive skills. And while I may be more cautious of Jordy's chances in freshman year, he has an NBA frame and will get every chance to develop. I believe it will all come down to foot speed. Is he quick enough to defend B1G centers? Height and weight are one thing but quickness will be the deciding factor IMHO. Guess we won't know until next fall.

  10. As long as he can board and hold his defensive position year 1 I'd be thrilled.

  12. I have less angst about this than others. If you take a guy just to fill the maximum number, and the guy is a stiff or doesn't fit, it doesn't add anything. And it can hurt you the next year. We have steadily improved in being able to get legitimate Big 10 players. But it we can't get a last one this year who actually has a chance to contribute, I would rather use the ship the next year for a good player. You basically only play 8-10 guys anyway, and the days of guys willing to sit the bench for a couple of years to develop seem to be about over, so why add a guy to sit the end of the bench and then transfer, just to avoid a "self-imposed sanction"?

  13. Noted, but I have a bit too much self-respect and self-interest to silence my dissenting opinions. Suppressing myself would go against the teachings of Ms. Rand, no? Fast facts: did you know Ayn Rand accepted both Social Security and Medicare? She was bilking the coffers of the government like a welfare mother to pay for her mounting healthcare bills as a result of her two-pack-a-day smoking habit. Hypocrite to the end. I believe that we can be unified in our love of Husker sports (and hatred of all things Creighton) and still vehemently disagree on politics. All of our blood runs red, even that which spouts from my bleeding, liberal heart. My apologies for rubbing people the wrong way. I will do my best to keep things more on topic.
