  1. That's very apparent...any team tells him they're picking him and he's gone. The question is whether or not he's going to do so without a guarantee of being picked. Terran left without a guaranty of getting picked, and he didn't get picked. He took a risk, and things still turned out well for him. The question is whether Andrew is willing to take a similar risk. Looks to me like the answer to such a question is, "Yes." You may end up being right....but Terran Petteway on 4/16/15 announced he would not be returning. The draft game is different now, but if Andrew White was so gung ho on going the Petteway route no matter what....why has he not hired an agent already?

  2. I'm usually on the receiving end of the lecture not the giving end. L-E-C-T-U-R-E, lecture. Whew, spelled that one right and no autocorrection. Didn't want to pull another "stiff conception" maneuver.

  3. Thorne getting another year is pretty big for them. Not racking up injuries and arrests also would be pretty key.

  4. Good news about a transfer...what ya got? We are all hoping to pair the signing of Jordy with a guard transferring out of Kentucky. Thanks!

  5. I'll say it: I want Andrew to return for his senior year. I think it would be better for him and it would most certainly be better for us. Andrew, please come back to Nebraska for your senior year. We have the big man that someone said you wanted us to have. If that guy turns out to be wrong, he's going to get ridiculed mercilessly on this board. You don't want that on your conscience, do you?

Just holding out hope...Nebraska could be his fallback plan if he gets injured during work outs etc.....I think you are probably right, it sounds as if he's gone but I hope he surprises us next week.

  7. He's going to the University of Duke? Heard the University of Duchess didn't offer. Surprisingly. Thinking he was out of their league, they didn't have the balls to offer.

    NCAA rule changes

Good, the last thing I want is the college game to become the NBA part 2. I quit watching the NBA in part when traveling, palming and the other rules went by the wayside. Unfortunately, this part of the NBA has filtered down to the college level.Palming is a standard part of the game in all levels anymore. Now traveling is another matter. What is traveling in the women's game is not traveling in the men's game and traveling in the men's game is not traveling in the NBA. It drives me crazy that women are not allowed to head fake. A head fake gets called traveling by the refs almost every time.Palming is palming and to my knowledge still in the rulebook. I understand it's part of the game now, I don't have to like it . I also understand the women's game is different from the men's game in how it's called. I prefer the way the women's game is called as it's closer to whats in the rule book. And that is what got me hooked on WBB is that it is more about fundamentals.Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk I agree on what I like about the women's game. I just don't like traveling being called when a woman gives a great head and arm fake and get penalized with a turnover when there was not a bit of foot movement. Officials call the infraction on the perception of traveling.

  14. Not worried about his conditioning as much as his ability to adapt to the college game. I'd expect more in the 12-15 range to start and hope he grows into a bigger role as the season progresses.

  17. I find it hard to believe those are accurate numbers. Not sure how you go from being a college student to a net worth of 4.1 million and not be on an NBA roster. Methinks Swan would agree with you, kldm. Now, if that were "potential net worth" I'd think it may be a distinct possibility. It's about as accurate as any start-up firm's valuation. "But if we get 100% of the market share over the next 3 months, we'll be worth billions!" mmhmm... It doesn't state 'potential' and even then, it's likely as solvent as a wet paper bag. Is there a more accurate gold digging site on the internet? Give this a spin: www.allonlinedatingsites.com/millionaire-dating-sites It's out there. You did ask for it, dimes? Do both members have to be millionaires, or can one have a very small bank account, looking to marry for money? Just asking for a friend. Try it, and let us know.

  20. Hey, maybe this Matthews kid from Kentucky is the "great news on a transfer" that KentuckyHusker was talking about a month or so ago?

  21. He's been wrong before, but he's willing to be wrong again... I don't like when people speculate based on some wild-ass presupposition. If there weren't any injuries, Illinois would be a tournament team. And if there wasn't any gravity, I'd be a five-time slam dunk champion

  22. Meh. Other schools and the NBA don't interest me. So I'll play this "poor man's" game from a different perspective. What ex-Husker is this player most like? I think some of these comparisons work well. Others not so much. Feel free to offer better comparisons below. Watson = Brian Banks Gill < Eric Strickland Webster < Nate Johnson White = I can't think of an ex-Husker that compares to White, so, Andrew White Roby > Bill Jackman McVeigh < Eric Piatkowski Horne = Terry Smith Morrow = Claude Renfro Jacobson = Bruce Chubick Tshimanga= Carl McPipe

  23. Jordy Tshimanga ... Rivals 150 James Palmer ... Rivals 4-star Jeriah Horne ... Rivals 150 Anton Gill ... Rivals 4-star Bakari Evelyn ... (Rivals 3-star, transferred) Jack McVeigh ... (Not rated by Rivals) Isaiah Roby ... Rivals 4-star Ed Morrow ... Rivals 4-star Glynn Watson ... Rivals 4-star Andrew White ... Rivals 4-star I'd say we're on a roll.

  24. I apologize if I ruffled any feathers but I'm in the same boat Norm is in as we've both and maybe some others here at HHC have been privy to some inside information but we don't have any authority to state on here what we've been made aware of in an effort to protect Natalie. But what I do know is when accusations and assumptions are made about her that I know are false I'll stand up for her whether she's a Husker or not.

    Jordy Tshimanga is N

Here's one of the things I believe is remarkable about Tim Miles: the players he recruits and signs are high-character and strong-academics people. It looks like Jordy Tshimanga is another of these high quality, high work ethic, high character and smart people. That provides great hope for the future.

  26. Well, I wish that's what you people who keep throwing Natalie under the bus would do. Why is it the strong desire of some on this board to knock her down on her way out the door? SHE has not said boo, publicly, about the whys and wherefores of leaving. Why is it so important for some of you to blame her and say "Obviously Romeo had issues with some of her teammates and that sort of situation can really wreck [sic] havoc with team chemistry?" She's gone now. I'm happy to get behind the team that remains. But I'm not going to sit idly by and allow misinformation to be spread about what went down. You want to drop it? Fine, let's drop it. But I'm not going to let the last word be an inaccurate word.

    NCAA rule changes

I like the idea of quarters, since it will cut down the number of timeouts in the game. There are way too many timeouts as is. Also, it seems that every level EXCEPT NCAA use quarters in the game. High school, the pros, and international.

    NCAA rule changes

I have always thought the time out moving to half court was the dumbest rule in the NBA. For God's sake aren't they the best in the world? Make them go the full court!
