  3. I'm not sure where your getting your information from especially when you say "Obviously Romeo had issues with some of her teammates" Her teammates would have welcomed her back in a heartbeat. I'm pretty close to the situation and there was a huge chance of Natalie coming back next year if the communication between her and the new staff would have gotten together to discuss any issues between the two parties instead of communicating through the media or not at all, I guarantee you Natalie would still be wearing Red. It's going to take me a long, time to get over this fiasco. A fiasco that never should have come down to this.

  8. I apologize if I ruffled any feathers but I'm in the same boat Norm is in as we've both and maybe some others here at HHC have been privy to some inside information but we don't have any authority to state on here what we've been made aware of in an effort to protect Natalie. But what I do know is when accusations and assumptions are made about her that I know are false I'll stand up for her whether she's a Husker or not.

Ancillary info from 247 on Mr. Roby: “Isaiah has been committed to the Huskers for over a year and never wavered,” Miles said. “That says a lot about his character and belief in our plan for him and his vision of us.” http://nebraska.247sports.com/Bolt/Roby-inks-with-Huskers-41025331 More info on Mr. Horne: Horne thanked Nebraska for his scholarship and the opportunity to grow as a person as well as an athlete. He said, “Yes, sir,” eight times in the first four minutes of Thursday’s interview... http://www.omaha.com/huskers/huskers-land-top--recruit-in-power-forward-jeriah-horne/article_ec3ff48a-6887-11e5-8f32-53b6891ccb12.html

    Jordy Tshimanga is N

Here's one of the things I believe is remarkable about Tim Miles: the players he recruits and signs are high-character and strong-academics people. It looks like Jordy Tshimanga is another of these high quality, high work ethic, high character and smart people. That provides great hope for the future.

  13. How about the novel approach of "Let's all get behind those players who want to be part of our program and spend less energy worrying about those who don't want to be". In the end Romeo wasn't forced out but decided there were more advantages to play else where.

I know that, when my wife and I are the Husker Basketball games and cheer leaders and the scarlet's throw tee shirts I yell you throw like a girl. We were there one night when the girls softball team was throwing tee shirts. .....those girls didn't throw like girls

  17. I'm excited also about this group, but now the stars mean nothing. If they all develop like Shavon Shields, a non-150 list player, we are going to be in great shape! Now the work begins to mold these guys into a cohesive unit that plays hard, smart basketball. I think Coach Miles and his staff will do that. Can't wait!

  18. 8 members of the current roster will include Rivals 150 kids. Which doesn't include McVeigh (who many say would be there too if he was a US kid). Remember when we were just hoping and praying for ONE?

  19. All three. Rivals has elevated Jordy in the top 150. So has Scout. And, FWIW, he's in Norm's top 150 too.

    Jordy is proof...

Let's make sure and give a lot of credit to Coach Hunter. He has been recruiting this guy for the past couple of years and has put in a lot of time to close the deal. I'm sure Miles helped a lot but Kenya deserves a ton of credit for locking this kid down.

(Not rated by Rivals) Isaiah Roby ... Rivals 4-star Ed Morrow ... Rivals 4-star Glynn Watson ... Rivals 4-star Andrew White ... Rivals 4-star I'd say we're on a roll.

    A recurring theme

Read up on our 2016 recruits. There's a recurring theme that you see when you read articles about these three kids. Yeah, Rivals 150, blah blah blah. Whatever. No, I'm talking something more esoteric. What kind of kids are they? Jordy Tshimanga: "That admissions person, Susan Clayton, also has been Tshimanga’s adviser the past three years. She plans to buy tickets to visit Lincoln and keep in touch with one of her favorite pupils. 'He is a gift — almost too good to be true,' Clayton said Monday by phone. 'Nebraska is getting a wonderful person. He is so selfless, which is so rare for someone his age. It’s like it’s not in a teenager’s DNA, but he has it.'” http://www.omaha.com/huskers/jordy-tshimanga-picks-husker-hoops-over-unlv-minnesota/article_e1656862-1b5e-11e6-a053-3ff47921cc33.html Jeriah Horne: I wish I could find what I was thinking of on Jeriah. It's the same kind of stuff that's been said about the other two. Help from the board, please? Isaiah Roby: "But when LeBlanc thinks of Roby, he doesn’t think of his teammate as superstar, but more of a relateable friend he grew up playing basketball with. 'It’s crazy to think he’s going to the Big Ten,' LeBlanc said. 'I’m so happy for him. I wouldn’t change a thing about him. Anyone else [with his talent] could be a jerk. You see that a lot, but not Isaiah. He always cares about everybody.'" http://www.saukvalley.com/2016/03/18/humble-roby-hungry-for-challenge-of-next-level/ach0fih/?page=3

    A recurring theme

"I believe recruiting is all about developing relationships. You know, can you communicate and sell the situation that you're in...I think the one thing about recruiting that a lot of people don't realize...everybody wants to chase stars you know 5 stars, 4 stars whatever and you've gotta get talent. But I think you've gotta have some strong character in the guys that you recruit and you bring into your program. Because if you miss on a recruit, he may beat you once a year. But if you miss and take the wrong guy, uh, he'll beat you every day." -Coach Michael Lewis

  24. Well, I wish that's what you people who keep throwing Natalie under the bus would do. Why is it the strong desire of some on this board to knock her down on her way out the door? SHE has not said boo, publicly, about the whys and wherefores of leaving. Why is it so important for some of you to blame her and say "Obviously Romeo had issues with some of her teammates and that sort of situation can really wreck [sic] havoc with team chemistry?" She's gone now. I'm happy to get behind the team that remains. But I'm not going to sit idly by and allow misinformation to be spread about what went down. You want to drop it? Fine, let's drop it. But I'm not going to let the last word be an inaccurate word.

  26. dlrrk, I do not think your post above was fair. You are making assertions about Natalie possibly wanting to leave last summer without any context whatsoever. Specifically, I take issue with this statement: "During the summer of 2015 Nat was talking with her friend about leaving Nebraska. Therefore, the idea that Yori’s departure was the catalyst for Nat’s departure is not true." I don't think your conclusion logically follows from your premise. It's a non-sequitur. There is context that would place what you've described in a significantly different light than how it's been presented. I am privy to some of that additional context but I am not "authorized" to share what I know. But suffice it to say that there is SUBSTANTIAL background that, when you post that information in isolation it permits and even suggests conclusions -- such as the conclusion that you, yourself have posited -- about Natalie's motivations that aren't accurate. At all. Unfortunately, Natalie isn't here to defend herself. But I can confidently say she wanted to be a Husker and wasn't asking anyone to "beg" her to stay. The coach herself said she'd had no contact with Natalie since a brief conversation the day she was hired. For what it's worth, I think you're right about the die being cast before Coach Yori resigned. But I think it's a different die than you suggest. Yori was given an ultimatum. That ultimatum was given prior to the date of her actual resignation. I would suggest it's that ultimatum that set the wheels in motion that lead to Natalie no longer being a Husker. It's not what you're talking about. What you're talking about you should not have gotten into unless you were prepared, in fairness, to tell the whole story.

  28. I think it's important to have a zone buster on the roster. Zone has been the way to beat Nebraska the past couple of years, so I get the reason for this post. If we have one on the roster beyond AWIII, I'd say it's McVeigh. The zone buster issue is yet another way Jordy can help us. His presence can allow us to put out a zone-busting lineup of: Watson/Webster (both serviceable from three last season). Gill White Jacobson/Horne Jordy I'm 100% comfortable with Jacobson shooting threes, and I think Horne has that range as well. That's 4 out of 5 that can shoot the ball. White is deadly beyond the arc. We aren't going to find a better shooter than that.

  29. NU busted through the glass ceiling; Huskers already has nearly an entire roster of top 150-type players. While I don't disagree with that, I just think he stays in Minnesota or goes to Wisconsin. If I go to any games, I'll make sure to wear Nebraska stuff.

  30. I like your list. I would rather see Watson channel John Stockton. Not only for assists and 3 pointers but for attitude. Stockton was a serious competitor who hated to lose and knew how to make his team better.Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

  32. Link? I have no clue how to link anything. I am not that savvy. All I know is that Chris Schmidt was conducting the interview of the HC and then towards the end the coach mentioned that Jordy was sitting with him. The next segment Schmidty was interviewing Jordy. Back to the HC interview. Schmidty asked him what we can expect out of Jordy next season. He said he was going to surprise people. His transition wouldn't be that difficult because he is a hard worker and he played top level competition. At that point he said Nebraska had a great group of players coming back and two other freshmen who should come in and contribute. He then made mention of a new transfer. The way he said it did not lead me to believe he was talking about the Miami transfer. Again, I may be very, very wrong. What I heard and what I thought I heard may vary. But again, to me, he made it sound as if we may be going after another transfer, but this guy would share time at the 5 with Jordy. Sorry guys, that was a Link Kabadyundi pun. When the radio link comes up, I'll post it

  39. I think the thing that's going to be very overlooked is that Tshimangas presence alone gives a healthy Morrow the green light to be an instant 10 and 10 guy in a sidekick roll should Miles play the beefier lineup. It all depends on matchups/styles but that's the great thing. We can go the thumper route with Jordy/Morrow or go the stretch route and play Jacobson at the 4.
