  1. It's going to be a looooooooooooooooooooooooong off-season, for sure.

  2. And to top it off, he is fast: Dixon 94, Mendota 50: Isaiah Roby made his season debut after a foot injury and helped set a senior class record in the 800 relay during a dual win at Mendota. The all-senior quartet of Roby, Nate Gascoigne, Benny Mayes and Kyle LeBlanc finished in 1:39.25, and represented one of 12 meet wins for the Dukes. Gascoigne also ran the second leg on the winning 1,600 relay team (3:39.55), joining Josh Dallas, Bryson Forrest and Jared Harrison.

  6. Wow, 3 posts, and they have all been flaming. What possible information do you have to conclude we are missing out on transfers (plus unless they are from Nebraska, we don't want them, right?). Do you even know if we are pursuing any? One player already knows what she is doing, and the coaches know. So they are not operating out of a knowledge deficit. It is up to them to decide the timing of an announcement. And you say "some of these girls"? There are only two for which there has been any reports of transfers. And then there are the two recruits. You want to put Doyle on a tight time-frame, to help her along in her decision? For what, all those great players that are still eligible to play in 2016?

  7. There was zero% chance of him turning pro last year. His best season at KU, he averaged like 2 pts per game. Here, he's over 16. Norm, have you been hitting the sauce early today? When "TP" starts to look like "AW-III" I am concerned.....

  8. Am I? Don't you think his friends and family are telling him to go for it if he thinks he can make it? Do you think you're the only person on this board who talks to anyone? You forgot to lump in all the other players who have left too. I mean, if you're going to just marginalize everyone here you might as well go for the gusto. Like it's more distracting here than at Kansas where people really care about basketball? Actually, I can take the statement on face value because I've certainly blown off some smoke before about the boss. Do you think maybe the guy knows he's this close to making the league and the next 28 days is the difference? Do you think he was paying attention when TP didn't leave after his best year? I think ultimately he gets enough feedback over the next month that he decides to raise his stock here another year. There's a chance he stays in the draft, regardless of the chances, because that is what he wants to do. You think his motivation is that he can't co-exist with MIles? Ok then. The guy is a graduate...if his big problem is Miles he's certainly able to transfer to almost anywhere with an open scholarship in lieu of the fact he's a defacto starter here. We'll know more in 28 days or less though

  9. So to sum up this thread, there's some guy who said something, but we don't like him, and we don't like Creighton, but AWIII is good, and it's 6 months till practice starts, and nobody really knows nothing? OK then.

  11. If you think about it a little I think you may see it doesn't seem to make a lot of sense; that is unless you want to Drive them away. Look at it this way. We've given already committed recruits Kathleen Doyle and Mi'Cole releases (and some players) so they could 'look around' elsewhere; now we're going to say 'oh, by the way, you've got until xxx to make up your mind!' Or, what? We're going to look elsewhere? Like all those 4 & 5 star recruits who have been knocking on our door and calling us? Methinks we need them (a lot) more than they need us.

  12. I'm just throwing this out there. But do you ever think that Barnes may not always be telling the truth about what he knows about NU? Could he be bitter that Miles never reaches out to him about any coaching gigs? That he pimps himself up a LOT? Again, nobody but Andrew White knows what he is going to do. Not Adam Barnes, not you, not me, not any random person on a message board. I'm going to support White no matter what he does. I'm also not going to throw out crazy ass statements and then if it does come true I can say "See, I told you my source knew what was up." And if White does stay, you can also say "Man, my source is usually 99% right on these things." My source tells me that Andrew White will make the best decision for himself. And my source also says that I will support him either way. I hope he stays at NU, but I also know that 800 kids leave their schools each year which must mean that 95% of College coaches apparently are "circus shows"

    Under Armour?

New Under Armour kit for Wisco next year: I am really really starting to like what they're doing with uniforms. Nice, clean designs. If we switch to UA with the next contract, I wouldn't be disappointed for sure.

  16. Losing Beckner wasn't bad luck nor coincidence. So Tim made a bad hire? In a vacuum, i don't think that PB is some terrible coach or guy or whatever. However, I just don't think he was a good fit and that's a risk you run when you hire a guy in a pinch after the Hurleys swiped your hired gun. Thus him leaving by finding a different job somewhere else is a short term recruiting pinch and hopefully a long term win-win for both of us.

  17. That's obviously not true. It also doesn't indicate which guys have agents and which ones don't. Clearly hyperbole on my part. But my point is, getting into the NBA is like, really REALLY hard to do. If one has even the slimmest of shots at it, they must take their chance. How AWIII declaring is an indictment against anything I'll not understand. Sure, we'd like to have kids come back to play for DONU just because they love playing in Lincoln NE for free and our entertainment SO MUCH, but that's unrealistic. Not everybody is as stupid as Douggie McBuckets... Wouldn't call him stupid. His play from senior year is what elevated him into a lottery pick in the the NBA draft. it still cost him millions of $ to play his senior year. That's not exactly what I'd call brilliant. Wow, that has got to be the most idiotic post you have ever made. And that is saying something. You only say that because he likes to troll Creighton fans. Those posts don't really bother the rest of us. By the looks of my analytics it certainly works. If everything was about clicks and I loathed my existence, I'd be thrilled. In fact, let's take a close look at those numbers. Here are the visits from a certain Jay board. As you can see, we're very popular today due to this thread being linked back by Waylon-Van-Can't-Figure-Out-Why-He's-Banned-Over-Here-And-On-Twitter-Multiple-Times because he couldn't figure out that he was being baited by something that is so obviously inaccurate it's just laughable. I mean, you might need a magic marker to mark one's head and one's ass so as to be certain that one knew the difference type of laughable. The lesson is that a lot of people read this site including fans, the media, coaches, fans of other teams, players, recruits, etc. Please be mindful of this if you aren't already.

  18. I thought she said she felt Yori didn't care about her as a person. Maybe that was somebody else. Maybe nobody said it. Or maybe the person that said it didn't ever actually play for Yori because they are an AAU coach. Hmmmm...

  20. So Miles yells at players too? So that means AWIII is gone and then Miles will be next because of the law suit that somebody will file because he is an angry coach that yells and belittles? It this what you are saying? Cause I don't get all you mumbo-jumbo talk. So when is Miles to be fired? Because that is what you are saying in a round about way. Who is going to be our new coach? I want to know so that I won't be surprised when all this goes down later this summer. Thanks, I hang up and listen to your answer.

That's true, you really can't put a price on running set plays designed by your dad to get you the ball every time down the court for another year and crushing brews down at the Jay with your bros Gibbs and Wragge and slaying all that dank NoDo beav...probably again with your bros Gibbs and Wragge... Can't fault a guy for not wanting to set out on his own too soon I guess.

  27. Losing Beckner wasn't bad luck nor coincidence. Refresh my mind, which assistant coach that we've lost was bad luck. Haven't most of them left for a better gig (i.e., head coaching spot, or an upgrade). Could there be more to Andrew tossing his hat in the ring? Yes, it could be true. Has your source been wrong before? I can't remember what it was but I can think of one time he was. Could it just be as has been pointed out, Andrew is seeing what his status is and what he is told he needs to improve on to improve his chances next year? Seems possible. Guess time will tell. I would say losing Johnson after one season to his alma mater was bad luck but he was replaced with someone better, so the point is moot. Which was my point. I think that guys were willing to move with him from place to place says more than a source that is claiming it's due to a circus.

  32. Here is what I was looking for OWH: Romeo is one of two Huskers to receive transfer releases. The other is guard Jasmine Cincore, who, according to her AAU coach Tom Jackson, is already looking at schools, including Georgia State. Jackson said Cincore told him her interest in transferring was unrelated to player abuse, but related more to the “interpersonal skills of the head coach,” who paid “lip service” to Cincore on playing time and her role on the team. “It was just a difference of opinion,” said Jackson, who added that the assistant coach who originally recruited Cincore, Shimmy Gray-Miller, took a job at Florida after her freshman year.

    1 point
  45. ALL good shooters should go to their off hand to get their shot off, more often. If you are a righty, your right side of your body should lead and be more towards the hoop - if you are driving, dribbling left, your body and shoulder positioning is perfect to rise and pop your shot. Going to the right (as a righty) means you typically have to turn your body in air, and bring the ball to the defender. Easier to step back going to your weakhand also.

  48. I think the key is getting players good enough to be drafted AND win games. Obviously the two usually go hand in hand. But, if AWIII is one and done it's a huge blow to next years team and probably a pretty large blow to Miles future at Nebraska. With that being said, I can't see him not being in a Nebraska uniform for next year but weirder things have happened.
