  1. Let's be real...it was probably a dumb tweet by Miles but him retweeting or tweeting every so often doesn't interfere with what he's trying to do with the basketball program. If he fails to land a solid big man again it won't be due to him tweeting 2-3 times a day.

  2. Heard we'll be announcing a transfer by the end of this month.

  3. So, appears there's still some hope this could happen. Or some other transfer big man. My ideal scenario is that we use these three available scholarship spots for: 1. Quality, senior-transfer big man who would be immediately eligible. 2. Jordy. 3. Quality, transfer guard with either 3 to play 2 or 4 to play 3. Need someone to come in and be able to step into the starting 5 spot next year without needing time to develop. Just right out of the box. Then, we need a guy who can learn in a back-up role to take over next year. And then we need a guy who can backfill the vacant roster spot when Tai Webster graduates. Very thin on numbers in the backcourt 2 years from now. Hopefully we can address that with recruiting yet this spring and it seems a transfer market for players who would have to sit a year would be the source of talent available to us this spring.

  4. Never mind. I obviously didn't mean what I typed. I'll blame it on a poor use of words. I'm back!

  5. Well HHCers, it's been a real pleasure! Thanks for all the memories! This will be my last post ever.

  6. I've heard of that school too!

  7. If he is leaving UofL, then he'd probably be looking for somewhere he could really try and dominate and would like to probably play somewhere where he is good friends with one of his teammates. If only there was a school that desperately needed a big man and had a Louisville transfer eligible to play this year...

  8. But here we are on page 7 about a player who attends Louisville and has not officially said he's leaving that university.

  10. This guy did a lot of the work for me. Can't vouch for accuracy but a lot of data. Hat tip to Scott Dochterman at "The Gazette." http://www.thegazette.com/subject/sports/really-b1g-hoops-look-back-and-look-ahead-20160413

  12. He didn't quite do enough work. He's got Tre Demps listed as coming back for Northwestern. I didn't catch any other inaccuracies.

  15. There is a comma, Normy; perhaps Ryan James should have used a semicolon. A semicolon would not have been appropriate there, as "his fourth of the day" is not an independent clause. Your semicolon, on the other hand, was perfectly used. :) Yeah, I realized that 1 of the two was appropriate; We all know the semicolon is an on-going saga on HHC. I'm not terribly proud about being the main reason for the saga, but it does make me smile from time to time. I've given three up arrows in the past couple days for their proper use. I'm a dork that way! We all have our burdens to carry; some troubles are more burdensome than others.

  20. I have no problem with this at all. Ideally it would lower the price of tickets, but we don't live in an ideal world.

  22. Do you know which type? Transfer and sit guy like the Miami guard or immediately eligible grad transfer or JUCO?Sorry, I was not told a name or eligibility status for next year. It was 2nd hand but should be fairly reliable. Wish I could share more, just don't have it to share. Well, well, well...ok great. Sounds like we should be able to get this thread about some Fernando guy who is an SMU commit over 20 pages by the end of the month.

  25. National Pundit Hype is much more hype-y than HS coach hype, regardless of their spot on the all-time Kansas 3pt shooting list (Who is #1 btw) Jimmykc already mentioned his name: Jeff Boschee.

  26. Can we count on one hand how many times a SP has pitched over 5 innings this season? Being serious bc I can't recall too many outings where they did.

  27. Think of all those Husker players who were awesome in the 90's. We've already had Shavon, son of Will Shields. Nebrasketball needs some more legacy players, for sure. Keyshawn Jr. already sporting his Terran Petteway #5 Nebrasketball jersey! https://twitter.com/RobinWashut/status/721481721531600896 weirder things have happened

  28. Okay so we need to play for seating now. We need to get a favorable first round, because I would think that us getting any where in the Big Tourny would be based on that first game. We don't seem to have the pitching depth or quality right now to come out of the losers bracket type of deal.

  29. A few nice corner 3s (aka: the best kind) and a big block. Rocking the #24 like Kobe Bean. I'm seriously going to have wet dreams about Joey Hauser hitting corner 3s in a Husker uni at the PBA. Followed by nightmares of him doing it in a Wisconsin jersey.

    Season ticket donations

Just call the ticket office first thing monday and explain the situation. and indicate you'll pay right away. You'll be fine. They don't just send you packing. If you have any trouble, call the development office.

    The coaching carousel

Not exactly unprecedented. Bobby Cremins lasted 3 days at South Carolina, and Billy Donovon lasted two days with the Orlando Magic. Both left to go back to their old jobs, however, not someplace else so that part may be without precedent. The burning question is how this computes in milliBurnos.

  37. We play 1 game vs RPI 153 team and a series vs the 217 RPI team....we need a clean sweep for those still thinking this team has a punchers chance at an at large bid. I guess we need to worry about getting to Omaha first...but like I said previously. It's win in Omaha or bust. Blah Blah Blah... honestly just tired of the negativity toward the team and coach. I have just come to realize that you'll just never be pleased. If we lose... its negativity. If we win... it wasn't showy enough... We steal a base... wasn't fast enough... we hit a homer... wasn't far enough. So after reading your posts... I try to say something positive. I guess thats just the type of person that I am though. So I'll continue to stay positive even when things are bad and let what ever happens happen.

    Miles tweet: Tubby rents

Might have been intended as a joke, Tim & Tubby may be friends...it doesn't really matter. There was no need for the tweet and nothing good would result (especially since Tubby may not even be on Twitter and he wasn't tagged in the post). My patience is wearing a bit thin with our HC at this point. There are many more pressing issues to be concerning yourself with than posting about other coaching moves.
