Due to Coach Cal being at UK, and that I live in Lexington and quit working for the UK Athletic Department last year, and that these recruiting guys are always around here, I hear and see a lot. I've seen Roby play a ton, and most of the those games he was the kid with the highest upside on the floor. Wasn't bragging with the prior run-on sentence. Just saying I've seen some players, and we've got one.

In college basketball offense wins championships but defense is a great talent equalizer. We made pretty good strides in offense this year which is why with a rim protector and some defensive strides from the young ones I think we will be better next year.

I've mentioned this before but I would like to share again. I studied Journalism under the same Superior High teacher as Lee B. That connection aside, he has always been one of my favorite writers. There are times yes, when I wince reading some of his columns regarding the Basketball program, but it's because what he's usually saying is true and I don't like to be reminded. I think he is firm yet fair and I am glad he is the B1G beat writer.

In the next couple of weeks we will start hearing about lots of kids at schools all over the country transferring. I read a couple years ago in womens basketball that 38% of d1 kids transfer at some point in their career. Just a microcosm of society in general. People jump jobs more than they used to. Loyalty is less important than it used to be and more people focus on "me". I am not judging, just reality. Lots of reasons behind the transfers -- usually PT, location, unhappy kids, unhappy parents, lack of patience, grades, etc. We live in an immediate gratification culture.

Not a Uk transfer. If a UK player transfers after their freshman year, we don't want them.

I see ESPN published a post that says Bollant will be back despite the 9-21 season and lawsuit against him. Sounds crazy to me

My expert amateur opinion tells me that the staff really drilled in a "NCAA/NIT Tourney or bust" mentality into these guys so when those options were out of the window everything else available just didn't feel worth it to the guys

Miles now trying to line up Jordy Tshimanga 6-11 260 lbs. Has played much basketball until the last four years. Has lost more than 40 lbs. Miles one day seems all hyped about post season play then cites the democratic process between the players and the administration as the reason they don't want the opportunity to go on regional or national tv and play in a post season tournament and end the season closer to.500. With the NCAA tournament comes get-togethers and stories start to creep out after a few beers. No doubt many are bs, but with that much smoke there is at least a few sparks of fire. Miles poor- decision process may not be limited to stupid t-fouls. Things arent adding up! I dont see him lasting past next year, and may be looking this year. Just sayin.
