  1. Will do. In the interim, please, please understand what we have in Roby. Due to Coach Cal being at UK, and that I live in Lexington and quit working for the UK Athletic Department last year, and that these recruiting guys are always around here, I hear and see a lot. I've seen Roby play a ton, and most of the those games he was the kid with the highest upside on the floor. Wasn't bragging with the prior run-on sentence. Just saying I've seen some players, and we've got one.

  2. Long time listener, first time caller. It might be 3-4 weeks, but expect some really, really good news on a transfer coming soon.

  3. No offense...but I'm always skeptical of new posters(alot of obsessed Krayton trolls around these parts). Especially new posters that start out with a bang. With that said, I hope you are right and won't hold it against you if you aren't. Good news would be welcomed though FWIW these posts are coming from the state of Kentucky

  4. Just keep him away from any wheelbarrows and I think his legs will be fine.

  5. Welcome aboard huskerinkentucky! In 3-4 weeks will the Huskers land a transfer whose first name is pronounced the same as a juicy stone fruit belonging to the genus Mangifera, consisting of numerous tropical fruiting trees, cultivated mostly for edible fruit?

Jennings shocks me. I just don't understand young people, and sometime their parents, anymore.

  10. If he broke his right tibia before the season and broke his left tibia toward the end of it, then I'd say he's out of tibias to break. So that's a good thing, right?

  14. In college basketball offense wins championships but defense is a great talent equalizer. We made pretty good strides in offense this year which is why with a rim protector and some defensive strides from the young ones I think we will be better next year.

  15. I've mentioned this before but I would like to share again. I studied Journalism under the same Superior High teacher as Lee B. That connection aside, he has always been one of my favorite writers. There are times yes, when I wince reading some of his columns regarding the Basketball program, but it's because what he's usually saying is true and I don't like to be reminded. I think he is firm yet fair and I am glad he is the B1G beat writer.

In the next couple of weeks we will start hearing about lots of kids at schools all over the country transferring. I read a couple years ago in womens basketball that 38% of d1 kids transfer at some point in their career. Just a microcosm of society in general. People jump jobs more than they used to. Loyalty is less important than it used to be and more people focus on "me". I am not judging, just reality. Lots of reasons behind the transfers -- usually PT, location, unhappy kids, unhappy parents, lack of patience, grades, etc. We live in an immediate gratification culture.

  20. Not a Uk transfer. If a UK player transfers after their freshman year, we don't want them.

  21. I see ESPN published a post that says Bollant will be back despite the 9-21 season and lawsuit against him. Sounds crazy to me

  26. My expert amateur opinion tells me that the staff really drilled in a "NCAA/NIT Tourney or bust" mentality into these guys so when those options were out of the window everything else available just didn't feel worth it to the guys

  27. Miles got his pants pulled down, on a Sunday, no less, by World Herald NU hoops beat writer, Lee B. Seven partial columns along with four color photos, with stats, of Miles big-man flops. Smith 6-8 254 two seasons, 10 starts, 4.2 points and 3.8 rebounds: Vucetic 7-1 238 played 34 minutes in two seasons: Abraham 6-9 252 22 games 1.6 pts and 4.4 rebounds and Hammond 6-10 235 Started eight games in two years 1.7 pts 2.2 rebounds. Then Lee B lays into Miles big-man whiffs he couldn't sign. E Robertson 7-1 290 started 4 frosh games at LSU 0.5 pts and 3.4 rebounds, soph year started seven games, 2.4 pts and 2.1 rebounds, Chukwu 7-2 226 Providence freshman 2.6points and 2.4 rebounds and Atewe 6-9, 235 1.5 pts and 3.4 as a freshman. Miles now trying to line up Jordy Tshimanga 6-11 260 lbs. Has played much basketball until the last four years. Has lost more than 40 lbs. Miles one day seems all hyped about post season play then cites the democratic process between the players and the administration as the reason they don't want the opportunity to go on regional or national tv and play in a post season tournament and end the season closer to.500. With the NCAA tournament comes get-togethers and stories start to creep out after a few beers. No doubt many are bs, but with that much smoke there is at least a few sparks of fire. Miles poor- decision process may not be limited to stupid t-fouls. Things arent adding up! I dont see him lasting past next year, and may be looking this year. Just sayin.
