uneblinstu's post game chatter: ed 6, vol 31 - Wisconsin

NO ONE SAT DOWN! I THINK THEY'RE STILL STANDING!

      BijVnN6CcAAWlPI.jpg

    - This is the night we've been dreaming of for 16 years. That atmosphere was unlike anything I've been apart of. And it lasted the whole night. They called for "No Sit Sunday and the fans came through.

    - The Huskers big three came to play. I don't know that there would have been many teams that would have come in here today and won. This was a special place tonight.

    - Man, Shields is the best player on the team right now.

    - I love that these guys aren't afraid.

    - I love that Miles says the curse is bullS#!&.

    - I don't know where things are going to end for this team, but this ride has been nothing short of unbelievable.

    - You know it's never going to get better than tonight, right? The expectations have been raised for this program. But tonight, this ride, is special. It will live in the annals of Husker history. We will be talking about this night for the rest of our lives.

I love this team. I love this journey. I'm really excited to see what they do in Indianapolis. Enjoy this, fellas. Next year is here.

For the first time watching the game on TV, I felt like the crowd was absolutely incredible like other venues. No doubt they made a major difference tonight!

The place was rocking, for sure! Very VERY nit-picky observations: 1) there were times the crowd the just stood there when Wisconsin was making a run (you can't yell the whole time, right?), 2) the student section isn't quite "intimidating" (visually) on TV. At least not yet.

It would be really cool if we got the student section to coordinate a lot more things throughout the game. I mean, there's so much TV time on that section throughout the game. That will come with time though. Clearly people like Dicky V are paying attention!

That said, I wish I could have been at the game. I can't imagine what that was like in person.

I was just watching from home but I did not sit down. Not one time. I went from "we can so do this" to " here we go again" to "we are going to do this!" But I never ever sat down on this team ;)

I know what you mean. I feel like the student section at Ohio State was intimidating late. They were doing this arm-in-arm swaying thing that looked like waves in the ocean. It was pretty cool. We'll get there, though. We're still learning about basketball.

I've been at games with incredible moments like last second shoes to beat Kansas and Michigan St. I remember the beat down of Oklahoma St when they were undefeated. I've never been at a game that was loud and intense the entire game. I had an 85 year old man sitting next to me the whole game. Best basketball experience of my life. AMAZING!

According to ESPN- attendance of 15,998... come on Nebraskans!  missed it by two?!

Bad counting by the fire marshal. ;) They said they would not let any more than 16,000 into the game.

Looking at your handle of "Bugeater in Iowa," and it reminds me that I'm drinking a beer from Backpocket Brewery, which is based out of Iowa City. Feels right, for some reason.

Wow Wisconsin was 11/21 (52%) from the free throw line.  If I remember correctly, one or two of those misses were on the front end of one and ones.... different ball game if they shoot 70%

haha, her and her husband were probably scared away by #NOSITSUNDAY and didn't bother selling their tickets.

THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN 15,999 and 16,000!

I got back to Lincoln last summer. I'm glad to no longer be in Iowa. I wouldn't have been able to have this experience if I were. Lots of good things in Iowa. Hawkeye fans' arrogance is not one of those things.

Wow.  We'll there's a name for a guy like that.  It's called Winner.  Maybe he's from Winner SD, not Doland.

Maybe there is more to those comments than I understand.  I can certainly see why coach is thinking c'mon don't bring up all that past stuff, it's a fresh start.    On the other hand, for us fans, I think we understand all the past stuff and the putting it into context for us.  The OWH guys have been gushing over Miles lately, so it was a little weird that Miles was ready to pounce.  Oh well, he can do whatever he wants :D

Not basketball related, but post game related-

    Hangover tomorrow-

Garlic pills or 2 sections of garlic clove fresh

1/2 liter pedialyte or two 12 oz gatorade.

    Enjoy.

Yeah, I might have had a celebratory beer or two too many. Might be a rough one tomorrow.
