Deverell Biggs dismissed from the team

      Deverell Biggs

Biggs will be working to finish up his degree in the hopes of transferring to a new school with one year of college eligibility left.

LINCOLN — It appears that Deverell Biggs' Nebraska basketball career is over after just 15 games in two years.

The junior guard out of Omaha Central was dismissed from the team Monday evening for repeated disciplinary woes, two sources with knowledge of the action told The World-Herald.

Looks like Trey Dickerson just became an even hotter commodity for Miles and staff.

It was Miles call ultimately. He even said so. Not complicated unless you think Miles is a liar.

...or he was falling on the sword to show that he isn't an energy vampire.
. Sorry Ron..Tom isn't coming back. His reign is over. Time to get over it.

I see you were able to escape the BRB and the Hate TO fan club. I know you hate him since he ran off your hero Peddy(proof that an AD can do real damage to an athletic dept) and Cally( whom the BRB folk wanted given one more year).

Do you really want to play this game?

. I have no idea what you're talking about in regards to Pederson or Callahan. Not sure what BRB is either. Hell, I don't even hate Tom Osborne. He is Nebraska football. I don't agree with everything he did as AD but I also don't wear blinders like you. I also realize that Eichorst doesn't have a chance with you and your group because Perlman didn't allow Osborne to sign off on his hire. Back to twitter fights Ron...I'm surprised it took me this long to put it together. The fail is strong in this thread by you Ronhusk15.

Who cares... this started as an intelligent discussion about a player's worth and why he was dismissed and denigrated to a couple guys whining.... about nothing...

Shut up. Live in the now.

and now we have a game tomorrow against Indiana that requires full attention from everyone, because we could actually pull this one off

Why is it a big deal if SE made the call? Did he just call in Miles and say Biggs is done? Isn't he the top CEO of this company and he would make the final decision anyway?

I ask because Imreally don't see it as that big of a problem. The right call has been made on numerous athletes who can't seem to stay out of trouble.

    Agreed 100 percent.

I've explained it multiple times in this thread why it is a big deal. Re-read one of the many posts where I stated as much.

Give it up guy. Your source is wrong. It's was Miles' decision to make 100%. The AD and administrators were contacted as to give input on protocol.

Can we lock this thread, please?

I keep coming back into it thinking there might be something of value...but alas...

    I'm going to second this.

It's distracting from actual conversation about the reasonably huge game tomorrow night, IMO.

Put aside who you might think made a decision here.

Biggs missed 4 games due to disciplinarian reasons.

Can someone point me to one single person in this thread who thought that Deverell  should have been given another chance?

Are there people here that think one of the best players on our team wasn't given every opportunity and more to make it here?

Did whomever you happen to believe made a decision make the right decision?  It would seem so.

This is all that needs to be said IMO. It's on Biggs.

Sure would have been a whole lot cooler if he could have managed to get it done (on and off the court).
