And how many of you knew that Keisei Tominaga leads the Big Ten in made 3s per game?

Edited to add: I was wrong. The announcers were talking about a different player. The clip was edited in a way to sound like they were talking about Keisei, hence the confusion.

For our team?  Otherwise that's not an accurate statement.

I'm going to miss Derrick Walker.

Very true.   This is a year where Senior night should be very special.   For Walker in particular - but also for Greisel and Bandoumel who both are very easy players to root for and who both have made huge impacts on the program even though only here for one season.

I'm just going off of what they said on the broadcast, which was included in the clip I posted above. Kugler said Keisei, at more than 3 made 3-ptrs/game, leads the Big Ten in made threes. I didn't fact-check the statement; I only repeated it.

Go to the :50 mark of the above clip and you hear Kugler say "big time 3-pt shooter averages over three made per game, LEADING the Big Ten."

That's an exact quote. I can't vouch for the accuracy of the comment; I can only vouch for the accuracy of the wording of the quote. It's what he said.

Weird, both Funk and Lundy from Penn St have more made per game in or out of conference. I'm watching the game in spirts today so i'll keep my ears open.

PSU's Funk leads the Big Ten in threes per game. I think Kugler might have been referring to him.

Just occurs to me, I didn't see the whole broadcast, but maybe they were referring to one of the PSU players. The clip makes it seem like they were talking about Tominaga, but the way the clip is spliced together, maybe they weren't.

Yeah, you're probably right. The way that clip was put together made it seem like they were talking about Keisei. Apparently they weren't.

I re-watched the broadcast, and I'm fairly certain Kugler was talking about Funk, in particular.

You are aware that a home loss to Minnesota is inevitable at some point, right?

They’ve NEVER won a game @ the PBA & if this sad sack Goldy Team is the one to do it, I’ll never be able to show my face in Mpls again…

Fair enough.  But one would think that the law of averages will catch up to this eventually and they'll get over the hump.

Same can be said about us and Crysler Arena.  I, for one, am ready to see that streak end for us.

    Wichita.

Do I have this right.  If there is a great free throw disparity in our favor, it is a well reffed game and we did a great job keeping them off the line. If there is a disparity the other way, the refs are crooked and out to put it to us.  I did not mean to quote 49r but a general observation.

Have loved what I've seen from Lawrence. He could be a very good 4 year player for this program. He does many things well. Same for Dawson, who does a lot of little things well which do not show up on the stat sheet but nonetheless help the team win. My son was at the game with me and we were impressed with how those guys flew around on defensive rotations. They were technically very sound on closeouts - balanced, choppy feet, hands up. This team is very well coached on the defensive end.

Keisei also nailed one from the intersection of Nebraska-Colorado-Wyoming. Wow, even Funk had to be impressed.

This is after that shot. Funk's reaction says it all, like, "dammit."

No. This game was well-reffed because, with 2 minutes left in the game, neither team was in the bonus and they had the luxury of being able to foul Derrick Walker to put him on the line for a 1-and-1 as soon as he caught the in-bound pass. The front of which he promptly missed and they got the rebound. So the strategy worked.
