uneblinstu's postgame chatter: vol 14; ed 9 - at Indiana

Not an unexpected result. I was in and out on this one. Sounds like NU started strong but IU took over the rest of the way. Hopefully things go better on Tuesday vs. Michigan.

Seems like there's quite a bit of frustration among at least those two players, although, to be fair, that was probably immediately after the game, when frustrations were highest.

And I'm sure it didn't just surface after this game. They need to hold the ship together til Trey gets back. Then see what adjustments happen from there.

The thing I always come back to is that the coaching staff determines the number of minutes that are played.  I understand what Kobe and CJ are saying here and when I look at win/loses vs the number of times that AV shoots, I easily come to the conclusion that Verge has the ball too much.

However, when I look at the rebounding rates the lowest two guys are Kobe and Keisei. The next lowest guy is Wilcher. Verge is among our best rebounders. To me Verge gets all those minutes and will continue to because he's a complete player.

That makes the calculus super tricky. I have no idea how/if it gets fixed this season. But I'm not the one who gets paid 3 mil to figure it out. Point guard next season is gonna be a fairly high stakes deal.

You, Kobe and CJ are all correct on this.

    IU lost to Wisco tonight.

They didn't just lose, they lost after blowing a 22 point lead in a place where they were trying to win for the first time since the 90s. BRUTAL.
