Man, it would have been fun to get this one...

Tonight was a good example of what happens when Jervay and Cam have off shooting nights and use their God given athleticism to fill up the rest of the stat sheet and make plays elsewhere.  Great effort from those two.  

Glad to see Cheatham show up.  
 

Our system almost beat them tonight.  We were outmatched at literally every position.  

MVP goes to the jackass that threw the paper airplane on the court.  Changed the momentum of the game in my opinion.

We competed.  That’s enough for me.  Can we follow up with a decent effort against Bucky Badger?

I don't see how Maryland is leading the conference.   They struggle shooting the 3 (maybe it was just tonight).  Their big man is good, but we were able to sag, and dare them to hit 3's.

Bring this effort against flop u at home and break this streak. 

Man, great effort and fight.  Really, really wish Cam would have flipped it to Cheatham when all 5 Terps collapsed on him.  Felt like it would have been fitting for Cheatham to win it after his impressive 2nd half.  Oh well, hard to fault Cam too much and I'd much rather have someone willing to take the last shot and miss than shrink in the moment.

If only we could show this fight each game!!!

I enjoyed the second half.  Once agaIn, if we could have just did a couple of little things a bit better.  But...that is the season in a nutshell.  

probably best effort of the year, but we still can't make 3s which is baffling because this whole team was built to make 3s.

Agree with kick out but don't blame Cam one bit. Thor broke to basket but a kick to him for corner 3 to win also possible.

Great second half. 

Really need to hope the guys coming back work on shooting the 3.  We struggle sooooooo bad with that.

Might have to consider playing Thor and kavas a lot more together just to get more shooting out there on offense to open the lane for Mack. Kavas is slow but held his own tonight on defense.

really nice team defensive rebounding in second half too. 

i also liked cross in the starting lineup. he can do everything y'van can, but is also a threat from 3.

This might be a tad optimistic, but I will take our chances against Maryland in the third round of the BIG tournament .

I was thinking the same thing:)

This was Kavas’ best game I think.

Cheatham could barely out weight on his calf yesterday and then gets 20. 
We hit just a few more FT’s or Cross doesn’t go like 1 for 7 it’s ours.

Oh yeah, Burke would’ve given us a couple as well.

My thought all night was man, I am really glad that Nebraska has Fred Hoiberg instead of Mark Turgeon as Hoiberg coached circles around Turgeon tonight.

Actually, Cam had what appeared to be Cross open for a dunk, if he'd have passed to his left. It would have been glorious, too.

Given our history, Arop would have gone up to dunk it and jammed it into the bottom of the rim. :)

I re-watched it twice, and I figured it was Arop (but it was Cross) but it wasn't as open as imagined... but Thor had a wide-open 3 to hammer the Terps. Ughhh.

One word will summarize both the game and the season: tantalizing.

We went 11-15 from the FT line (73.3%). 2nd game in a row over 70%!

Very optimistic as trust me, we don't want to play them again.  If we saw them in the Big 10 tournament, I'd be surprised if we could stay within 20 points of them.

At some point we're going to have to recognize that 3 points are worth more than 2 points, and we can't keep helping on the post or full helping on drives in crunch time. We give up back-breaking 3's during stretches and runs that just kill us.

They run some ball screen stuff, and we completely over help on the roll man and on the driver. Instead of giving up a tough two, we give up a wide open kick out 3 to make it 71-64. Kevin Cross hits a 3, making it 67-71. So still a two possession ball game when it could be a one possession ball game. You can't give up open 3's in crunch time. I'm sorry, I just fundamentally disagree with that strategy. Switch everything and force tough shots at the rim without fouling. 3's break your back.
