That was super frustrating to watch...

As someone mentioned on the game thread, Wisconsin is 33 - 65 against us in 2 games.  They mentioned all other teams.  I will take it further.  Wisconsin is 118 - 343 against conference teams.  That means they have made 27.9 % of their 3 pointers against us in 2 games.  They are 33 - 65 (50.8 %) against us, and 85 - 278 (30.6 %) in the other 12 games.  To take it further, Brad Davidson is 12 - 20 (60.0 %) against us.  He is 20 - 60 (33.3 %) overall.  He is 8 - 40 (20.0 %) in the other 12 games.

This game was pretty easy to dissect.  Nebraska couldn't make shots within 3 feet, and Wisconsin couldn't miss from 3.

This makes this team so frustrating.  They take Maryland to the wire on the road, and get back home and lose to Wisconsin.  How?  Can we have 2 games in a row, where we play well.  We'll probably come out against MSU and play a good game, but lose to a decent MSU team.

How much of this is our lack of size and experience inside? If you're smaller than the other team and your players are anywhere from three to seven years younger than the players they're trying to go over to make layups, layups are anything but easy. Mack too often is trying to finish against 6-11 centers. Burke is skinny, and both appear to have been weakened by the flu this past week. That's a recipe for missing more than half of your "bunnies." As for Yvan, well, he's just 17. He's just 17. He's just 17.

Take it a step further... outside of Maryland... can we just play well two halves in a row?

We've probably played 5 good games this year (Purdue, @ Indiana, Iowa, @ Rutgers, @ Maryland)

    Another stat that makes one shake their head.  Our conference opponents shoot 124 - 373 (33.2 %) from 3.  Wisconsin is 33 - 65 from 3.  Our opponents beside Wisconsin shoot 91 - 308 (29.5 %) from 3.

The last time we had a 10-game losing streak was the 1962-63 season.

FWIW, as far as I've been able to find, we have NEVER had a 11-game losing streak in the history of Nebraska basketball.

History could be made on Thursday... just not quite the way we had hoped to make history this season.

LJS claims we had a 13 gamer @ some point in time... OSU, Northwestern @ Home, MAYBE @ Minnesota. I hate to think we’ll lose out.

Although Fred Hoiberg did have a 10-game losing streak in his 1st season as the head coach at Iowa St.

Am I misremembering that we had a 10 game losing streak in ‘95-96, when the players boycotted?

    Same oh, same oh.

Missed 50% of our free throws, missed 70% of our three pointers and missed 14 shots at the rim.

We didn't defend their bigs, we gave them wide open 3's (again) and...well crap, another stretch where we forgot how to play the game of basketball.

    Dang it.  I am frustrated.

I've never been more ready for an off season in CBB than I am this year. Been a rough year, which was expected.

I think it'll be interesting who Fred keeps/let's go. I'm not going to guess on any of them because I wouldn't have thought Thor would stay and contribute like he has.

In relation to the game tonight, couple of areas that were good. But can't put a full 40 minute game together. They might play for 20 or 25 or 30. There's always a stretch where they fall behind. Easy team to attack on offense honestly, due to personel they have to run out. Yvan I thought looked good. Energetic and was hustling. They're still leaving him WIDE OPEN on rolls and until he finishes at a higher clip they will continue to do so. Cam was Cam, you could tell he wasn't himself. Cross had a bad game, especially against Potter. Potter hunted him every possible chance he could.

6 games left and then B10 tourney.

Maybe that's including multiple season streaks. And it's possible I missed something. But from what I could tell, a loss on Thursday would be the longest single-season losing streak in school history. (Not that me being wrong and missing a season or technicality would make this any better!)
