    NO SIT SUNDAY

      #NOSITSUNDAY

      BEAT WISCONSIN

    Looks like a go:

'No-Sit Sunday' at Pinnacle Bank Arena

A friend of Nebraska assistant coach Chris Harriman texted Harriman on Thursday morning.

A Nebraska fan who lives in St. Louis, the friend was expressing his excitement about coming to Sunday's basketball game at Pinnacle Bank Arena between Nebraska and No. 9 Wisconsin.

He referred to it as "No-Sit Sunday."

That expression quickly stuck with Harriman, who decided to coin the phrase in anticipation of what many are saying is the biggest home game in Nebraska history.

"Why not?" Harriman said. "Let's roll with it. We need that place loud and rocking."

So, there you have it. 'No-Sit Sunday' has been declared.

Coaches want everyone standing, as much as possible, and making noise in the process.

    What's at stake?

A victory for Nebraska (18-11, 10-7 Big Ten) could clinch the program's first at-large NCAA Tournament berth since 1998. It could also clinch a first-round bye in next week's Big Ten Tournament, where the Huskers could be looking to improve their seeding in the NCAA Tournament, rather than fighting to make the tournament.

The game is sold out. Students tickets are going for as much as $50, which is basically the price of a season student ticket. Tickets for the general public are going for nearly $100 on StubHub.

And with a 60-degree day forecast, you can imagine the energy in the Railyard all afternoon for the 6:30 p.m. tip-off.

YOU CAN DUPLICATE NO SIT SUNDAY......so hope that don't try.  That original no sit Sunday punched our ticket.  No sure this one will.  We are playing an unranked team.  Just doesn't have the same feel.  Wish we wouldn't try it for game but we'll see how it goes.

Yeah, but it's like sex.  Even though no time will probably ever be like the first time, it'll still be enjoyable and you might have even learned a thing or two from the first time that can make the second time a little better.

According to this bloke from ESPN Insider, this game won't have much meaning either way to the Huskers, or for that matter, Penn State.  I say pocket the No Sit Sunday for the next time the circumstances with the Wisconsin game are the same.

"Nebraska likely will stay right there  ("Next Four Out") until the Big Ten tournament. Winning or losing at home against Penn State in the season finale likely won't change the equation much for the Huskers."

I'd have to disagree with this. It certainly would change the equation from only needing one win in the Big Ten tournament to two. That's something we've only done once and we've never made it past Friday.

But you're right, Penn State not a "tournament lock" game.

So is the guy in Vegas who is coming up with the lines on Nebraska games this year.  Early line has Penn State favored by a point and a half.

I don't understand this sentiment: "This game isn't as big as the 2014 Wisconsin game, so let's be a mediocre crowd."  It's the last home game of the year.  It's been an historic year.  This team has a lot left in front of it and this is our send-off for them.  It's sunny, 45 degrees, and a frikin Nebrasketball gameday!  Enjoy some beverages in the railyard, then go be a damn lunatic for a couple hours while our beloved 'skers beat the brakes of peddo state!
