Opposing players to watch: E.J. Singler
- EJ Singler: Spokesperson for the NCAA's "Everyone has nipples" campaign
You might recognize the Singler name as E.J. is the younger brother of former Duke Blue Devil Kyle Singler. While he might be the Eli to Kyle's Peyton, he's arguably Oregon's best player and the offense should run through him. The 6-6 forward is leading the team in most offensive categories including points, rebounds, and number of former annoying Blue Devil brothers. One thing you shouldn't do is put him on the line as the 2011 Pac-10's best free throw shooter hasn't missed one this year.
Opposing players to NOT watch: Tony Woods and Jabari Brown
Oregon received two big additions this year in 5-star freshman phenom Brown and 6-11 Wake Forest transfer Woods. On Saturday Brown quit the team after a two games and Woods ended up injuring his ankle on Sunday. While the offense seemed to click against SE Missouri without Brown, we're talking about 2 out of 5 opening day starters. Look for the Ducks to start undersized point guard Johnathan Loyd and human foul machine Olu Ashaolu.

The Huskers have seen enough of Dana Altman to know what sort of game plan
Doc's most experienced crew demolished a Rhode Island press on Sunday so I'm not sure we'll see Oregon's pressure unless they're trying to make a run. Also, this is the sort of poor 3 pt shooting team that Nebraska excels at defending. You might witness a bizarre twist as Sadler attempts to play at an Altman-esque pace while Altman tries to grind the game to a halt. As long as Nebraska can protect the ball and make Oregon work for points, expect this to be a brutal game for the Ducks. Should Oregon start having foul trouble, this could get ugly early.
