Is Hooper offically out of her so called shooting slump ?

That would be outstanding if so. Would be a tough one to win without her making some shots. I think Purdue is going to be tough.

That said, I didn't watch or look at box scores on the games Purdue lost as of late so not sure what their issues were. They looked pretty good vs. the Badgers I thought.

We just aren't playing well and Purdue looks good.

Actually I think we could use the extra day off if we don't win.

It's not like we are fighting for a spot in the tournament.

We are playing for a better seed, but it most likely wouldn't have been that much better if we were to win today and lose tomorrow. Right?

We have got to start finishing around the bucket better. Too many missed gimmes. Not enough big bodies underneath to combat opponents big interior. Right now I think we're a 5 seed.

I would like to say that with all the injuries and ETC. Yori got alot out of this team. And to be in position to be 4 seed in the tourney, That is quite an accomplishment.

same song, different verse. the huskers are going to struggle against teams with good interior athletes. but this was a good season all things considered. hopefully they can go 2 deep in the tournament, maybe upset someone in the 2d round.

I completely agree with tcp about our struggle against big, strong interior players.  We have no post presence to defend against these types of players.  Our success in the NCAA will hinge largely on our draw.  I think we will be a 6 or 7 seed.  With Meghin Williams leaving, the post situation is going to continue to be weak.  It would be nice to have a back to the basket player but that may not fit in with our system.  KU killed us in the tournament last year with Davis and Gardner inside.

The only teams that have the back to the basket post's are PSU, OSU, Iowa And maybe Purdue with the only one really to hurt the Huskers was Green from PSUand she had alot athletism. And I think that is what hurts the Huskers is the athletism of the posts. The huskers have no one that is that athletic in the post area, Now if T were six inches taller problem solved. FWIW

We got a 6'5 girl (Allie Havers) coming next year Cazzie but that's next year. Hopefully she'll be pretty good when she gets here and can come in a play a lot of minutes for us.

Despite the height, is she really a true post player?  Sounds and looks like she's a finesse player; skilled for her height, but not a physical inside player.   I suspect she'll block a lot of shots, but may struggle with rebounding if she can't improve her strength.  Either way, she'll have to play a lot of minutes, whether she's ready right away or not, due to our lack of depth.
