BmoreRed
This kid just had his scholarship revoked a few days ago from Northwestern. Sure he has some kind of relationship with Coach Gates, could be a possibility for that last scholarship? I know we don't necessarily need another guard, but it looks like some quality teams are giving him a look. https://247sports.com/player/jordan-lathon-87234 http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/college/ct-spt-northwestern-revokes-admission-jordan-lathon-20180525-story.html Edited May 29, 2018 by BmoreRed
49r
He was denied admission into Northwestern. Most of the chatter on Reddit over the weekend about him seemed to indicate being denied admission was not due to a grade issue. Seems to me to be that caveat emptor would be a pretty necessary approach for any school who is considering offering him a scholarship. **edited to clarify that the admission was revoked (meaning that he had previously been granted admission) not denied Edited May 29, 2018 by 49r
Huskerpapa
Sounds like Louisville and Missouri are both interested.
Norm Peterson
I would take a freshman guard of this caliber over the big man transfer from Tennessee State. Not that we're necessarily in the running for either, but if someone granted me special powers for a day and I could just decide for them, provided his revocation of admission to Northwestern wasn't reflective of a serious character issue, I'd pick a kid like this. Hands down.

Norm Peterson
Wish I knew how to cut and paste charts. "Recruited by Armon Gates." https://247sports.com/Recruitment/Jordan-Lathon-90422/RecruitInterests

BmoreRed
There should be some serious mutual interest here... Beyond the fact that the new assistant was the lead recuiter for the team he committed to, you’d think playing quality minutes with/under glynn and james palmer jr. would be great experience. Then, the next year (2019-2020) you have the keys to the car. Everything is yours

Swan88
This would be a great get. But didn’t we just sign a 6’5” 195 lb. point guard? Why would a 6’4” 175 lb. point guard want to come here in the same class?

I trust our staff to do their due diligence and if they offer they will be comfortable with that offer. I know he’s said that in the past Swan88
