RPI only dropped to 42...should be good enough for an at large barring major upsets over the next few days.

Silver lining in going 0-2 is if we do get into a regional...our pitching staff should be well rested.  Would have been nice to see the stadium packed with Red on sunday though

Was at the game.  I didn't see "flat" as much as I saw overmatched.  Even when we were up 1-0 Indiana was smacking the ball, just right at us.  We were hitting weak pop ups and ground balls.  Placzek had a huge error which resulted in 2 runs; who knows what happens if he makes that routine play.  And then Chesnut has an two 0-2 counts with two outs and gives up 2 runs.  Darin has to recruit some infielders.  Would have to think that even if we get in, we'll have a tough seed.

Our infield defense for the most part has been pretty good. You are going to make errors. It just hurts when it is a key moment in the game.

I didn't like our draws from the get go. Michigan State as a seven seed throwing their ace is tough and I wasn't expecting a win today at all. Indiana is no slouch and I knew they were gonna be playing with some extra motivation after just getting swept by us last weekend. Oh well, hopefully we did enough to get in to a regional.

I would guess Ohio St is the only "lock" left in the tournament, so to avoid a team stealing a bid. We should want them to win. We definitely do not want Iowa winning the thing.

Greg Sharpe said he thinks the selection committee will take into account that Schreiber was out of the lineup for the Tourney, so NU's chances are still pretty good.

So should we be cheering for Creighton to win their conference? I've been trying (under the assumption we should) and it's not nearly as fun as cheering for them to s**t their pants.

Yep.  I am not feeling good about it.  Would love to have a do-over of the 9th inning of the Iowa-Ohio State game.

Hard to root for bucki but I guess I will.

God, we even need to root for creighton...ugh!

It's really hard to predict what the committee might do.  I think also we need OSU to win.  How many bids will the B1G get?  Could they under certain circumstances get four?  Doesn't seem likely- probably only three.  Would they turn away a reg. season champ (Minn) because of lower RPI?  Will be interesting, and somewhat nerve-racking.

Iowa is showing out. They've played really impressive ball, and have embraced the home field type atmosphere. It's hard to watch.

I don't think we needed Creighton to win today. We will have similiar RPIs and we won the series. They have nothing special about their resume (reg or tourney conf title, stellar record against top 50, etc) that would warrant them getting in over us imo. But hey what do I know.
