Went with Gallegos, Webster, and Pitchford

Good guesses.  I was similar to yours, except I went with Shields who has just shown that certain something.  A nose for the ball.  Without seeing any stats, I think he's pretty efficient.  Ray is a good guess, too, though.

Pitchford, I figure, has an advantage being the only real big man on the roster (besides Vooch who could potentially redshirt, depending on how many more players we take in this class and who they are.)  Being that presumptive starter at one of the big spots definitely gives him an advantage on getting touches.

Webster is more based on hoping he's as good as the hype.  If he is, he should be one of the top 3, no question.  Hoping that he is all that, I went with him as one of my top 3.

1. Gallegos, 2. Webster, 3.Fuller, 4.Pitchford, 5. Biggs, and 6. Shields 7. Petteway all seem to be the most likely in the top 3. I see Parker, Rivers, and Vucetic as the role players in that order. It seems like we will have a lot of depth next year, but not a lot of experience. I'd rather have talent than experience though.

Wow.  Lots of good guesses.  I don't think there'd really be a bad guess at this point unless you went with Vooch, Parker and Biggs.  Then I think you might be off a bit.

Like the vote for Fuller.  Love what I've seen of the kid on film.  Be great if he comes in and lights it up to be one of the top 3 players on the squad next year.  That would speak very highly of him.

I wnet Petteway, Pitchford, and Gallegos.  My reasoning was Pitchford will walk in as the top athlete and get some points on that alone.  I chose Petteway based on the recent articles and his hustle, slashing ability, and that his shooting has been improved.  I lastly chose Gallegos as he will be the lone senior on the squad and think he will want to go out on top.  I also think with the other options on the floor and another year under him that his shooting and looks will improve; as I feel right now he is the guy being keyed on by defenses.

Shields ,Pitchford, and Gallegos for me.  I will wait on Webster until I see him play.  Heard to many times kids coming from other countries are the real deal only to see not so much.  (I am NOT saying he will not be that good, just lived in the Show-Me state long enough I need to be shown, boy I hope to be shown!)

Pitchford, Webster and Shields for me.

Pitchford because we're gonna need a lot of minutes/production from him.

Webster: As Norm said, it's mostly out of hope.

Shields: Because I think he's gonna be awfully solid in all facets.

exactly mine as well. i think ray as a senior is going to be pretty good. it's hard to rank newbies regardless of talent over experience, but i think tai's one of the most talented guards we've recruited in years. pitchford will look good just being the primary big.

I went with Pitchford, Fuller, Webster as expect all 3 of them to start next year and provide some offensive firepower that we are lacking this year.  I honestly can't wait for next season.

My sentiments as well.  I think one advantage that Webster has over the alternatives at point is that he's got better size and is clearly a capable shooter.  As we've seen, it presents problems for us on offense when the D only has to cover 4 guys and have one floating around wreaking havoc on our passing lanes.  Webster forces them to guard all 5 spots.  So, that's why I went with Webster.

Pitchford, as you say, gets an advantage being the primary big.  And, at this point, Ray should just get better.  One of the few players to make his biggest improvement between his sophomore and junior years rather than after his freshman year.  I'd love to see David Rivers make a similar jump but fortunately we have lots of options at the wing.

If Gallegos is going to be one of our top players next year, he needs to develop some consistency with that shot and/or develop some sort of to the basket move.

Shooting in streaks will mean some games he plays 30 and some games he plays 15 minutes.

We need to get a forward/big man signed for next year.  Pitchford being the man by default isn't good for business.

Shields, Pitchford, Petteway (no order). If Gallegos is one of our "top players," it will be another rough year. We know what we can expect from him, and he is a role player (albeit a good one). He can shoot. He can't dribble, he can't create, and his defense is average at best.

I shied away from Webster simply because he will be a freshman, will have to adjust, and (mostly), don't want to "curse" the hype. Cautiously optimistic :)

Gallegos, Shields and Pitchford.  The last is based on optimism only and I don't have a real clue about the newcomers other than seeing Petteway play at Tech.  There should be more overall ability on next year's team.

Should have been a box for "player to be named later" as in the Center we haven't signed yet.  A Derrick Chandler clone would be nice, but I'll settle for a Mikki Moore, right?

I thought about doing that and had it in before deleting it because I just decided we've got to go with what we know.  Good suggestion, though.

Interesting that we seem to pretty much have a clear cut top 3 right now.  It will also be interesting to see how close we have come to picking the right three guys next year.

I think Deverell will have a good chance to play significant minutes next year.  He might be starting this year if he weren't redshirting.  He'll have a year under his belt so he will already have a leg up on Webster.  But hopefully that doesn't matter if Tai is as good as he's supposed to be.
