What I heard at the time about Thomas was that the staff felt he was overvalued. Miles saw him in person and we dropped him shortly thereafter. I just don't think there was unanimous staff buy-in on Thomas' ability to succeed at the next level and fit what we want to do.

I think Miles is being careful here. An offer should be coming but coach has to be sure. There is risk bringing in a JUCO and Miles had to be absolutely certain that Thomas can be an impact B1G play

If he ends up going to North Texas, he can play along side a 6'10" dunking refrigerator.

In retrospect, Sipple nailed it calling him a game changer....he was part of the reason we ended up with a new coach.

I don't understand why people continue to act like this guy was good. He went to Troy. Jew wasn't a B1G level recruit.

I'm with you on that.  this calls for an explanation Cookie and it damn well better be a good one!

How about this for a possible explanation:

 

My dumb smart phone auto-corrects in occasionally stupid ways.  If I meant to type in "H-E" and hit the "J" instead of the "H," my dumb smart phone won't leave it as "Je" because "Je" isn't a word it will recognize.  It'll change it to something.  Perhaps change it to "Jew" which is a word.

 

I suspect there's probably a very good chance Cookie was trying to type "He wasn't a B1G level recruit."
