efhutton Posted November 21, 2015 Report Posted November 21, 2015 Since the Game at Penn State last year, when our guys were just stinking up the place, I said, why don't we go full court and get some energy which will get the offense going? This year in my opinion we should be using the full court press periodically. Without the "big Guy" again, and if our 3 point shooting falters, we are in trouble. Benny and Tai pressing with their athleticism, would be fabulous and much more productive, Bakari, Andrew, Glynn, with their quickness at midcourt, and Shavon back to protect would really cause havoc with opponents. For some reason Miles resists using the Press. Give me your responses. arliepro 1 Quote
Huskerpapa Posted November 21, 2015 Report Posted November 21, 2015 I have no problem with pressing. But it would likely need a major change in philosophy from Coach Miles and his staff. Silverbacked1 1 Quote

But right now, Tim is experimenting constantly with rotations and the freshmen haven't figured out how to defend without fouling. Hopefully when these issues are cleared up, he'll consider using that strategy. Sent from my XT1028 using Tapatalk Quote
BBFan Posted November 21, 2015 Report Posted November 21, 2015 I don't think there was enough depth or athleticism last year to press. I think it may be more effective this year and would like to see it. it also helps cut into the shorter shot clock this year. Quote
HuskerPower #nato73 Posted November 21, 2015 Report Posted November 21, 2015 Not a fan of pressing with lots of youth and the new rules. Potential too get out free throw attempted every night. Quote
jimmykc Posted November 21, 2015 Report Posted November 21, 2015 I don't see us pressing much except when we have to when trying to catch up. Maybe some sort of half court trap would work. We foul too much and have no bona fide shot blocker. Quote
