This is a pretty special athlete.  He'd be a great get.  He can really create.

Seems like good news that Saben Lee came to Nebraska on an unofficial visit in January to watch NU-UM.

You have to figure with an escalated time table for signing day with hoops in the fall that you see a lot more guys visit early on to get a better feel of where they will end up.

But, that sure seems like a heckuva long ways to travel for an "unofficial" on January 23rd, doesn't it?

Not really. As it stands now Nebraska is the best offer, in terms of level, and has him intrigued. It's one thing to see a football game but it's another to see the arena, team, etc of the sport you will actually be playing. He now has the flexibility to come back this fall on our dime but also have the experience of the hoops visit this weekend. It bodes extremely well for us as it has to really push NU to the forefront of his mind and will be his measuring stick going forward. Kudos to the coaches for getting him to visit now and try and lock him down now before a bunch more teams get involved.

Traveling halfway across the country is a long ways to go in the middle of his season. It is clearly a testament to the recruitment by Miles & Co. That was really the sentiment that I hoped to convey. Masterful work by Miles & Co. It was 22 degrees in Lincoln, and Saben Lee WANTED to be in Lincoln instead of watching the game from my home in Arizona. That's pretty cool

That's pretty cool you have a home in Arizona and that you and Saben are close enough that he would come over and watch the game with you. Close the deal now!
