Perhaps Dimes has some photos.  Neebraska, Dimes and I spent some time at the HHC table.  Saw Husker BB there also.  MIles was very energetic and outgoing.  And pretty funny.  And very approachable.  Enjoyed meeting Ben Johnson and Jaden the operations guy.  Decent turnout; fun time.

I'm not much of a shutterbug so luckily the internet is...here are a couple from Twitter from the staff.

2013-01-05 Miles at Husker Happy Hour

It was fun putting some faces to some names and as you might expect Miles started saying hello to everyone and working his way around the bar from the first second he walked through the door.  As he stated after the game he was disappointed in the effort at Ohio and think that while Wisconsin is a good team, they're beatable.  They wanted to win at least 10 games in the preconference to hit their post-season goal and now are trying to figure out how to win 8 in conference.

Once we start to win I'm not sure if we'll continue this sort of informal meeting at a bar since it would be way too popular.  Thus, if you're thinking about going you should try and make one of the last two.  It was a good time.

I'm just thinking out loud here, but I bet we could get something similar lined up at Barry's on some of the weekends these guys aren't doing stuff.

If there's interest from this board, I'd be more than happy to quickly try and get some things moving.  Let me know.

To piggyback on that the organizers from the U told me they were interested in putting together an away game watch party with enough interest.  I have no idea if there is a specific reason why these are at the N-Zone so there is a potential for both.  If you have something and I can make it, I will.

Last but not least Dave and Scott will be in town on March 6th for the Minnesota game so if nothing else that sounds like a good day to go to Barry's

Good thinking, Dimes.  I'll contact both Dave and Scott, or if they read this, and feel so inclined, they can contact me.  This gives us some time to get in touch with some former players and such.  I know there are several people on this board with connections.  I'll take care of the Barry's end of it.

Cip, I gotta think for former players, showing up at something like this would be akin to William Shatner going to a Star Trek convention.

They'd be treated like rock stars, Norm.  The one we had in the early years of this board at P.O. Pears was attended by Terrance Badgett, Beau Reid and Tony Wilbrand.  I know I had a good time...

I remember that one--it was definitely a fun time.  Probably wouldn't be the same if it were to be done at Red9.

(Of course, I would be unlikely to make it anyway, unless a satellite location in Chicago with a warp panel appears.)

Depends on the crowd.

The second event was much more crowded than the first one.

Considering I'm coming with at least four people this time I'm not planning on grabbing a table for anyone other than my group and do not necessarily know how long I'll be sticking around afterwards.

Same format as last couple time but this time it was Miles and Craig Smith.

Miles really had the crowd going with some great stories.

Told the story about how Smith came to work for him as well as a story about the only varsity wrestling match he participated in high school (He lost 18-1 but wasn't pinned)  He also was looking for Rosenthal to let him know that after we beat Penn St he can stop writing that all we need to do is beat Penn St to keep from finishing last in the B1G  ;)

Coach Smith talked to the crowd for a while and went into a bit of detail about Penn State.

Once again a great time.
