My prediction>>> Next year Serg will either have transfered or he will redshirt.

I think he's gone. Miles wouldn't even play him in the blowouts against oregon and creighton. I don't see Sergej being able to play in an uptempo offense, and I think that is the kind of offense NU is going to have the next couple years.

Atewe will be more athletic and able to run the floor.

Here is a highlight video of multiple players from both teams in a Notre Dame Prep v. Massanutten Military Academy game.  Matthew Atewe is the first player highlighted (appearances are in alphabetical order by last name), and he appears in the first 30 seconds of the video.  From this footage we can know, for what it's worth, that he had in this game at least six points, one block and one rebound.

Im kind of sad he isnt wearing his space man goggles anymore.  Not sure why he wore them but I havent seen him wearing them in any videos lately.    I mean how cool does he look in this picture.

I hate those teasers.  It's one method Rivals uses to try to get people to buy subscriptions.  "Is he still coming?"  Oooh, he might not be.  I wonder what the deal is?  Better buy a Rivals membership so I can see ... that, yep, he is still coming.

“I’m able to anchor the team defensively, like, block shots, rebound the ball, and just be able to score a little bit with my back to the basket,” Atewe said, noting his offensive game needs improvement.

Sounds like he'll fit right in at Nebraska!   :)

The Rivals article linked above clarifies some recruiting priorities as follows:

Nebraska "has Atewe pegged as its top high school option for the 2013 class. The Huskers have also been looking at the junior college ranks to possibly fill one of their two remaining scholarships for the '13 class, especially if Atewe decides to go elsewhere. That being said, NU has been doing everything in its power to convince Atewe that Lincoln is the place for him."

He is announcing on his birthday March 7.  He could commit but it would be silent as thats been his plan all along.

OK, gotcha.  But MAYBE ...

Maybe he changes his plans because he's just so blown away by everything he sees here.  Yeah, maybe he's just soooo wowed by all that is Nebrasketball, that he commits right here and right now!  That'd be sweet!

Here is some (apparently) current/new information: "2013 Hargrave Military (VA) PF Neville Fincher is taking an official visit to Kansas State this weekend."

According to Rivals, this player is 6'8" and 229 lbs.--a power forward with offers from Robert Morris and Towson.

Hopefully, Mr. Fincher is viewed by Kansas St. as a back-up plan to Matthew Atewe.
