Interesting fact from a KU source: AW III was supposedly the most impressive practice player for the Jayhawks last year but seemed to go into a shell once he got into a game. Makes you wonder how he'll perform with a program in which he won't need to be looking over his shoulder all the time to see who is sitting at the scorer's table to sub.

I like AW III's fit with Nebraska as well:  Coach Miles; and the other players on the team.  He is not only an athlete, but a good student (think Shavon shields, pre-med, and others on the team).  These may be some of the things that attracted him here in the first place.

I like the way Swan88 described Miles interview on Sports Nightly: 'Andrew White and Terran Petteway go at it every day in practice--have a "brawl" every day.'

We'll see how well he 'Shines' at Nebraska, both on and off the court!  :)

Jimmy, that's interesting because in the 3 games he got to play more than 10 minutes he averaged 10.3 ppg and 3.7 rpg. He averaged 4 mpg in the others or didn't play at all. Seems like he wasn't given much of a chance to do anything. He only had 4 turnovers in the 16 games he played sparingly and the most shots he missed in any of those games was 1. Sounds like if he missed his first shot he was done for the night. No wonder he left.

Did anyone listen to the segment of the Chris Harriman interview posted to the media thread where he talked about Andrew White? Chris said that AW was the best pure shooter he has ever worked with and that recently in a scrimmage in practice that AW made 8 3 pointers in a row while being guarded by TP. Wow!

That is great to hear.  This team desperately needs shooters.  Probably just as bad(or more) than a big man.

Early predictions for a likely starting lineup next year are shaping up like:

PG  6'2"  Tarin Smith (or Glyn Watson if he's all that)

SG  6'6"  Terran Petteway

SF  6'7"  Andrew White III

PF  6'8"  Shavon Shields

C  6'11"  Walter Pitchford

That's a lineup with some decent size and potentially some pretty excellent offensive firepower, but still might have rebounding issues.
